<peacedove>Under Brendan Rodgers Roberto Firmino was not given opportunity to shine,
most of the time on the bench or played out of position, because of this, his confidence was
very low. New manager Jurgen Klopp has given him confidence. I think he must start against
    Chelsea.

Wouldn't say born again, he's merely played almost 90 mins in his best position after recovering from injury.

Great performance but he's capable of even more. If you look at the inexperienced players around him and we still looked really good in the final third because of him.

Firmino Coutinho and Sturridge starting together could be special.

LOLz at the title of the thread <ok>

He played well against a very poor Bournemouth side with more injuries than A&E on a Saturday night.

It was really good to see him in his favoured position though, so I'm hopeful he'll start more often. That would push Coutinho to the left, for me his best position too. So good signs.

Him starting last night suggests to me he won't start against Chelsea though, probably come on with 30 to go.

Much more like what we were hoping for last night, just imagine how much better he will be when we have a striker playing.

He was given plenty of opportunity under Rodgers. Injury and tiredness from Internationals is the only reason he didn't get more time.

I didn't see yesterday's game but it sounds like he must have had a blinder based on all the praise. He had a few good months in Germany too (why we spent so much money on him).

Lovren's first game for us was good. Dossenna had a blinder for us against United. Igor Biscan looked stellar a couple of times in the 2005 champions league.

I want to see an extended run Of consitently good performances from the lad... Or at least slowly improving performances. Im ecstatic he's had one good game now (he was decent against Soton too).

Perhaps all he needed was for the doom and gloom of the Rodgers Reich to end to fully get his confidence going.

Time will tell if it was a big fish in small pond last night or if we have a real gem on our hands.

If Rodgers was in charge, Firmino would be playing left back.

Don't say he's a left back. LVG will buy him if you say that.

Maybe he's a natural left back and no one knows it yet.

    lol but aggressive that!

Someone said something recently which got me thinking about how Klopp is go using on one element at a time.

For example, it looks like he's focusing on the defence and defensive shape and structure BEFORE he moves onto the pressing, and attack.

2 goals conceded in 4 games is good improvement considering we've played Soton and Spurs. Another backhanded compliment is that we're not being cut open as often and we seem to have a balance - the goals and chances we are conceding are from silly individual mistakes.

How **** would that team be. Similar to Klopp's first game away at Tottenham, we have come a long way in three years

Yep @Jimmy Squarefoot complaining it is too attacking to build the forward line around Firmino being supported by 2 other strikers
