For goodness sake lets just sack Mourinho and get him of the front page of the sports pages....how can one person take up so much space day after day.....any other manager with his disasterous results this season would have been long gone. Boring man......boring team.....end of subject. I feel better now for that.................
Bourinhooooooo... they have to pay him 40 million to get rid! Its either him or Mr Trump-ton on the news lately..
Still.....is he or is he not going.........they'll bring out a calendar next......why didn't I think of it.......
He has gone....the Prem will be a much duller place without him. I don't really watch the goings on in the prem that much (other than to follow Liverpool) but at least he has been a source of amusement.
Couldn't really care if he goes or stays anywhere to be honest. I've no doubt his bank manager will be crying with his compo. He will be down to his last 10m or so soon. How will he manage.
Apparently they have agreed not to pay the compo for the outstanding amount on his contract and he will only be paid until the end of the season- only about £6000000 over the next 5 months.
£6m???? His bank manager really will weep then. The poor bloke will bleddy starve. Do you think we should box him up a couple of pasties and post them on.
As usual, I'm with Lymdhurst on this one, an entertainer and a winner. The compensation is what it is, enter into a contract and you pay if you break it. Chelsea are rightly paying for their impatience and their stupidity in letting Lukaku, now the best striker this side of Barcelona, escape for £28m after he scored 15 in 31 games in his loan season at Everton. Mourinho at Man Utd soon? Wouldn't that put the cat amongst the pigeons!
Pages and pages on what went wrong....when will we get back to football matters.....instead of the inflated ego of Mourinho....tantrum after tantrum of why others have let him down. Personally the sacking of club doctor Eva Carneiro and Mourinho's attitude to her doing her job in looking after a player first before the needs of Mourinho and his team.....was the beginning of the end.......any player who thought that Mourinho was putting his own requirements before an injured players needs would surely not feel quite the same about the "special one" after that......a players career is reasonable short and medical attention should never be withheld just because the coach feels it's not helping his game plan. Carneiro was recognized as a top doctor in sports medicine and for Mourinho to try to over rule her judgement of a situation goes beyond belief. If the dressing room had split views... and the team where not playing as well anymore ...than that is Mourinho's fault.... he has proved that he isn't up to the job of uniting it .... he has been putting his needs before the teams.....and that makes him a loser and not the right man for the job.....and to think that he will get £millions for being dismissed as well.........he hasn't kept his side of the agreement of being a manager who puts his players first and in so doing gets the best out of their abilities as highly skilled players......I just hope he doesn't get another another job in this country.....and we can get back to the football being the topic instead of the ego of a manager dominating proceedings.
Fair points Plym and I too am convinced that the main reason for his departure is the off field situation. After all, they could on and win the European thingy and the FA cup-wouldn't that be funny......? Be great to see him again at a different Prem club entertaining me and clearly irritating you!
Good point about the doctor, very poor behaviour but typical of his egoistic style if not Mediterranean machismo. Still want to see him at Man U though. We need something to replace the old Man U v Arsenal battles.
Yes the game needs his sort and not the Van Gall! Yep it looks like man-ure will have him.. that should be fun!
I am not immune to the news that flies about regarding what goes on in the Prem. I do hear and read some of it but my interest is only from a complete outsider point of view rather than caring much for what is happening. He is a character in a world where most of them are so far up their own arses they disappear. He is amusing a lot of the time but I can't get upset if he lost his job and I can't get upset if he doesn't get all the brass his contract dictated. I would remind you notdistant that a contract in football only extends one way normally. If he wanted to walk then no contract in the world would have stopped him. It's only when they get the boot that they want to plead contractual matters. The Prem league needs people like him though to at least give it some character. My own take on all of this is that he is his own worst enemy at times and agree with plym that incidents like with the Doc don't do him any favours. The rest is egos of some of the players who after all are the ones who play that badly despite the vast amounts of money they earn. It's just cheaper to get rid of the one man in football who is always the manager when a load of the players ought to be the ones who gewt fired. It's those contracts that don't allow that though isn't it. If you worked as badly as they have then you would have been long gone from your chosen careers. In football though you can be as bad as you want to be with absolutely no comeback at all.
.....and now it's all about....LIFE AFTER JOSE.....good grief....will it never end.....who cares about Chelsea and what happens next.....only exist because of Abramovich and his £millions..... Q..........which is the most successful English team that hasn't been built on the back of the support of a multi-millionaire sugar-daddy...??? genuine question for 2015.....answers please.
I see the Chelsea Technical Director has said the players weren't to blame. Without wanting to prolong the debate, what do these characters do? When you look back, there have been some poor deals done at Chelsea over the years. I mentioned letting Lukaku go, there was the signing of Fernado Torres for £40m+ I think, letting Matic go and then having to re-sign him, Falcao, Remy amd Diego Costa none of whom have set the world alight, missing out on Sanchez who IS lighting fires at Arsenal.... Whose decisions were those I wonder? On the other hand, I read an article singing the praises of the equivalent guy at Leicester who's mades some great, if unfashionable, signings for next to no money in Premier League terms. He's a longserving British scout mind you, not some expensive foreign hired gun.
I wouldn't have thought Mourinho would allow someone else to buy in players.....doesn't seem his style....certainly his ego would have been dented if that was the case. Fernado Torres.....gi-normous failure at Liverpool and Chelsea. Falcao before injury yes.....but on loan at Man U and Chelsea a huge expensive flop. The elite clubs are still demissive of Leicester.....what will they do if they are still top of the league with one game to go.....shout foul.....it's not fair.....and sack all their prima-donna's......managers as well.......and go back to the drawing board and try to work out how they did it.
I'll bet you they won't be top Plym. It is great to see a non fashionable club on top at this stage though.
