Bonuses

Appearance and win bonuses exist.

Goal bonuses don't.

From what I've been told the appearance fee is negotiated during contract talks.
Win bonus is the same for everyone and you get nothing extra for scoring.
If that's the case I'd imagine clean sheet bonuses are a non starter.

When told this I asked if the lack of goal bonus was unique to our club, I was told by the player in question that he's never received a goal bonus at any club.

He scores a few and has had a number of clubs so it would appear they are not common place.

Surprised me a bit did that.

 

To be honest, the main reason I presumed goal bonuses were common place was from the contract negotiation bit on Footy Manager.

Which of course is fantasy.

Which is why I'm never any good on it.

Someone just give me a chance...

 

I thought they were common practice but when I mentioned them to the player in question he looked at me like I was pissed.

Which I wasn't.

 

He scores a few? It's either Fryatt or Koren then

My money's on Koren, in fact I'm 99% sure it's him.

I've seen Robert Koren in St Stephen's Tesco on 2 separate occasions, wearing what can only be described as an 'electric blue' jacket.

Judging by how trendy he looked, I'd say someone was getting a goal bonus. He's lied to you.

 

I've seen Matty Fryatt in a pair of Lee Cooper flip flops and a Lonsdale vest,


What does that tell you?

That's probably more than Rosie can afford.

 

I've seen Matty Fryatt in a full track suit when he played for Leicester. I also saw him legging it away from forest away last season in his city track suit, bastard ran out right in front of a load of cars just setting off from the lights. We nearly had a dead top scorer.

 

i saw that too, dont hang around long after a game do they, hope they still get showered and dont spray deodrant over there b.o like a kid i used to work with did..

 

I saw Josh King, Joe Dudgeon and Robbie Brady in Princes Quay today, King was wearing one of those cheap no brand hoodies that you buy from Primark.

 

His new contract talks have now stalled because he wants to know why the club have been taking the piss giving everyone else a goal bonus and not him for the last 2 years.
