Even if it is true, the URL title seems to insinuate that he would pay the 'unsung office staff' 500k if the team wins. I guess it could be considered an incentive for the players...

As has been said before the fat man is not totally stupid, we'll grab an extra few million if we finish a few places higher via winning so £500k is but a slice. Saying that it would also be nice for the unsung back office staff to get a piece too

 

I want us to win even more now!

 

Reagrdless of what we all think of him, and the fact that in the big scheme of things 500k is but a drop in the ocean for Ashley, he doesn't HAVE to do it, and it's good to see his money going to those where a bit of extra cash will be noticed, rather than players wo'd hardly notice if they had 500k bonus each. Well done Mike

I've just found a article about your owner Mike Ashley. It says that, if your players can win today against West Brom, he will share a £500,000 bonus to the backroom staff (Office staff, caterers etc.) who aren't given enough credit for the work they do.

I know your owner can be a idiot at times but at least this shows he is not always a complete idiot.

It's all very nice but they'll have still earned it even if the team loses. Why doesnt he just give them it anyway?

 

Well Ashley's no 17 must have come out on the roulette wheel or he has had a bump on the head he never usually does anything to help NUFC its employees or fans. Maybe he is like scrooge and seen the light and he will invest properly in the club for a change. Don't hold your breath tho even Pardew came out yesterday and said never mind top 4 we cannot even compete with Spuds and Liverpool Ashley has no ambition to turn us into a side competing for Europe. If he does invest properly I promise I will come on here and admit I was wrong!!!

I would hope they have enough incentive anyway, and the players wouldnt be getting the money anyway. If they cared that much about the non playing staff they could put their weeks wages together and comfortably make around 500k.
