I thought this was interesting, a horrendous total, I wonder what Bristol City's wage bill is in comparison? please log in to view this image http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-revealed-as-club-prepare-for-League-One.html
I think we're now much more disciplined when it comes to maintaining a wage structure, compared to 4-6 years ago. May mean we struggle to beat other teams to marquee signings, but also means we shouldn't be looking at administration any time soon - a timely reminder that money alone doesn't guarantee success, but misuse of it can pretty much guarantee disaster.
the reality of that is >£200k ... so need in excess of 15000 per week to turn 7up just pay the basics match fee's etc . nowt left for other things !
Some very average and underperforming players earning quite high wages. No wonder they're in trouble.
I thought that was fairly standard for the championship. Rumour has it that we were paying our previous championship squad something similar, hence £18m loss... Notice no sign of Zach Clough's wages though.... Can't believe Dobie is only on £4k a week
I wonder if this has caused some friction in the Bolton dressing room - as if they needed any more problems to contend with. Dean Holdsworth's consortium has its work cut out for it, but you get the impression they'll do what's right for the club - good luck to them (just not this season!). Could be a long, hard slog and perhaps a few years before they're able to get back to the Championship if they go down.
