My Nanna talks more sense and tactics than ever displayed by SB. This clearly indicates to me that whoever is next in the hotseat can only do better. I feel that overall, his (SB) individual summer purchases were initially uplifting and have indeed made us (potentially) a better team. What we need is someone with a bit of nouse to play ALL the players in their most preferred positions. After all, I wouldn't employ a hooker, then get her to wash the dishes every weekend !! <whistle>

But who will be next ??? As I said in a previous post, MON was player of the season for the Mags in a past life 87 ish...... That kind of experience must give him a bit of a soft spot for the dirty barcodes, and for that reason,...... I am out !!

BUT WHO ELSE IS THERE ?? Suggestions Please ( and reasons why ?)

Honestly if it was upto me and both ancellotti and Mon wanted the job id pick Martin Oneil. He'd fit the club so much better and do a better job imo, he has a proven track record at clubs like ours. Ancellotti has been blessed with managing good clubs and his domestic record isn't that great when you look at it.

Parkersafc, not a cat in hells chance of ancelotti (never looked at his domestic record) coming here but i do not want MON. Think he would do a good job initially, and i would support the guy 100%, but would run AGAIN when the going got tough imo.

    <doh>

Thanks for correcting my bad research Steve and ParkerSAFC !!<doh>

That was Michael Andrew Martin O'Neill, I'll get my hat .............

BUT surely Ancellotti is a party animal at heart, he would never venture past the M25 surely. How about we bring back Peter Reid ???

I know his record has been pretty shabby since he left us, but I reckon he would get some never say die spirit back to the team......

Dong, do you think it will take ALL 6 managers to drag us outta the mire ?

No, seriously the players Bruce has bought all have that British Bulldog mentality which no European tactics can harness...... what we DO need is that bite to accompany the barking we currently seem to play with. Defo Peter Reid would do OK in my book. I did see Bob Bradley's name near the top end of the betting stakes ??? With him being American, do you think he will appear on Mr Shorts "Shortlist" ?? He's only just taken over the Egypt National team, wonder if Elmo may have any influence on an early retirement from Cairo to the Prem?

I like the idea of Reid involved with the club, but not as manager. Would Benitez do a job? I just don't know. Hiddink would be nice. I feel its time to move on to continental. No real reasoning, but it would bring us an angle we've never had before.

Im sorry i can't believe i Reids name being mentioned here
yes i enjoyed some of the best years under Reid but that was at lower level once we needed to get to the next step in comes Flo

    Enough said i think

We need someone who can rough it through get the best out of players to me that rules out Hughes
im not sure who i want but he better be able to pick us up from this mess

My first choice would be David Moyes just imaging what he could do with rivets to spend.

Second choice MON (If SB goes i think will he will be our next manager) done well at all the clubs he has managed.

Third choice Mark Hughes he done well @ Blackburn, Man City & Fulham

I still want Marco Van Basten, dont think we have a hope in hell of getting him, but i can still want.

Still young (ish) Holland manager, Ajax manager, lots of experience, could teach our Strikers a thing or two.

Its just a gut feeling that he would do very very well for us.

Would Benitez do a job? I just don't know. Hiddink would be nice.

And I'd want Pep Guardiola but I don't think that would be happening anytime soon...

People seem to forget that we are a poor Premier league side with dwindling attendances. I'd say the pinnacle of our level would be Mark Hughes. I'd take him if Queen Bruce is out of the job.

If that was a pop at me, Van Basten is free and available, Guardiola isnt, if Van Basten was Inter manager i wouldnt even consider it, but he isnt, so why not, shy bairns get nowt, and he can only say no.
