no good at match reports but heres my general thoughts:

    - we started off very very slowly, hoofed the ball a lot and never looked like getting anything. oldham scored early and it looked like chesterfield again
    - we then kicked in a bit and beaver scored a bit out of nothing by racing onto a throughball and putting it past the keeper (bit like sheffield united goal)
    - started brightly after half time could have scored but every time oldham went forward, i felt nervous
    - joel grant came on for the USELESS mcnamee, he changed the game. he managed to score after a quick breakaway when we were onto
    - our penalty came fromeastmond being tripped again. basey stepped up and put the ball horribly wide
    - oldham attacked us from their and got a disputable penalty when mccoy pulled down thier forward. they scored, we now look slightly doomed

now we need 3 points (at least!) from 3 games, which is very tough but not impossible

    ratings:

bull 6 - didnt really do a lot wrong

mccoy 4 - very poor, looked a threat going forward but very sloppy at the back
doherty 7 - rock at the back, how we will do without him next week i dont know
winfield 5 - not great, poor distribution and sloppy play but was semi-fit. went off injured in the first half
basey 6 - average game, unlucky not to score with a free kick. poor penalty though

eastmond 7 - very good again, went on one run where he beat about 5 men but screwed the chance
bloomfield 6 - worked hard but no end product
lewis 6 - worked hard, should have shot more often

mcnamee 2 - sums up everything i hate about him, did very little if anything. cannot start next week please!
beavon 6 - got MOTM, worked hard and well taken goal but did struggle without support
strevens 6 - not a fan but i thought he was good today

    subs
johnson 6 - quite solid, him and stewart next week i think
grant 7 - very good impact, should start ahead of mcnamee

our big problem today was seeing out the game, we should be 3 points better off

Rocky - we threw the win away - unexcusable at this stage in the season and given our position.

2-1 with 10 minutes to go - get a penalty - Basey misses and then in the 90th minute McCoy pulls down one of their players in our box when the ball was on it's way out for a goal kick - 2-2. Had we got the extra two points we would have been right up on Walsall and Orient and with a minute amount of hope - not now.

A very bitty game with yet another crap ref. Too much ball in the air in windy conditions.

Good performances by Beever, Eastmond, Docherty & Strevens. Bloomfield and Lewis playing their normal games reasonably effectively but nothing special.

Absolutely no idea why Waddock started with McNamee - did absolutely nothing again - on the positive front Waddock did replace him with Grant around the hour and Grant did take his goal well.

Basically, I am gutted and given the lack of activity on this site I guess everyone else is too.

Jose - fully agree with your assessment other than McNamee - don't you think 2 is generous.

My sentiments are the same about the performance. McCoy was very poor today which was summed up with his daft decision to foul a player in the box when the ball was sailing over his head and out of play!! McNamee was shockingly poor. Offered absolutely nothing. Eastmond is a class above in the middle of the park and its a pleasure to get a player of his quality on loan.

Winfield was his usual donkey self and whilst I wish no man an injury him going off did us a favour.

Although not mathematically out of it, it will be a tall order to get points from the last three games, especially with the Doc not being able to play against Charlton.

I couldn't make the game either. Was following it and gutted to throw away a massive 2 points at the end. We still have a chance and it is a point gained given other results, but my hope is pretty much gone now at the moment.

The bookies think so. 7/1 on now with Bet 365, although PP have a generous offer of 4/1 on. Bet 365 have Orient at 7/1 which seems a massive price. If they lose their last 3 games and we get 3 points from ours, Orient are down.

I watched it as well Rocky. I reckon Basey and McCoy have had a bundle on Wycombe getting relegated and got a bit worried when they heard how Orient were doing.

its so frustrating when we had the result in the bag only to throw it away at this stage of the season

I watched the highlights too. Obviously its over the whole course of the season that we are in this position, but those 2 moments with Basey and McCoy yesterday look to be massive. What were they thinking!!

whilst not the reason we are in the position, had basey of scored/mccoy not given the pen away, we would be a point from safety...basey has cost us points against carlisle and oldham recently, both of which were unlucky...unfortunatly i suspect were down, we will need heroics against charlton & sheff wed

I couldn't watch the basey pen. i've had issues with penalties since a cup match at fulham but i could see as soon as mccoy touched their man it was obvious the ref would try and even things up, well we have the run in from hell but it aint over yet.
