Despie the problems Newcastle are having it still takes something to knock in six at this level.

Well done Liverpool. It cannot be said that the scoreline flattered you in any way.

    Cheers mate <ok>

Strange one seeing all the quality you have in your side yet you're still struggling, especially after your last season.

I'm expecting the FA to criticise LFC for not "appreciating the seriousness" of Suarez being banned

Could have been more than 6tbh and yes.. sure they banged on about Suarez being on the pitch got us a point v Chelsea and that was considered when coming up with the length of the ban

5 game ban for Coutinho for being in possession of Brian May's hair.

I was watching this really not happy at half time cos we were struggling to get possession of it and sissoko in particular was doing us. I must say we really took our chances and coutinho in space is a pleasure to watch... lesson don't give him space!

I think it was our day which makes me happy, newcastle have big big problems when they do that at home so they better hope villa and wigan don't both go on runs.... stoke are not safe but nearly so really the fa cup is going to give al lthese sides a chance to pile on the pressure on wigan

If Hendo and Coutinho keep up this kind of performance, Allen is going to have to buy himself a cushion for all the time he'll be spending on the bench. Hendo may not become a world beater, but he's going to develop into a fine midfielder with alot of strings to his bow.

Hendo/Gerrard/Lucas has a really nice balance to it and Coutinho in an advanced playmaker role really suits him.

    This^^

First time I thought our midfield had balance. But just to be a grumpy fecker, I think Pardew gambled that we'd be in disarray & persisted because he looked at us earlier and thought we'd wilt if they got back into it.

It was suicide to keep the high line for the entire match. Had he not watched every other struggling team against us this year? Sit back and break.

I loved yesterday but I'd like to see that midfield with confidence against a team that sits back.
