dont feel down millens. we got top of the table crawley on saturday (you know, the team that dumped you out the cup last weekend ) then next game after we got 3rd in the table cheltenham!
Players obviously never wanted to play for Buckle. Managers have got a **** job nowadays really. Damned if they do, Damned if they dont!
it certainly looked that way. i wasnt keen on buckle when he got the job but wasnt nothing personal. just thought we could get more experienced manager. if he was good with the fans then i would be happy to give him time. but the things he was saying pissed off a lot of gasheads and he had to go. it was getting to the stage where i was half expecting a fan attempting to go for his during the game. for me he had to go just on the way he treated the fans. but the players let him down on the pitch. when they cross that line its down to them. getting the basics right on the pitch was hard for them to do which anyone can do even non professionals! i find it hard to believe they were applying bucks tactics. he had several fallings out with players so obviously they had enough. a few works really hard on the pitch but most of them can leave asap as not good enough and showed no passion/effort and i dont want players like that here. fans deserve better than the players not doing their jobs.
i suspect a team on the up may be more than a match for crawley away. the job is norths if they win unless the board announce before
Mixed messages. Certainly more passion and pace, and even some passing movements. Paradoxically Stanley and Zebroski were best players ! Was the new manager watching ?! However, yet again, we were up against another poor team (who went down to ten men). 519 visiting fans, over 20% of the gate.
About time we had a bit of good fortune. Some managers are lucky, some are not. Something Buckle never had, Delboy has had it in spadefuls. Whatever is the Scottish equivilant of a four leaf clover, perhaps a thistle of some sort. He certainly managed to shove it where the sun don't shine on some non performing players. Blessed are the Lucky ones. Starting with a horrendous off side goal against Barnsley; playing the Saints twice when in the biggest dip in their form for two years; West Ham on a dip; Watford donated pass back goal; ugly deflected shots going in...... So let's hope our boys can have a slice of the good fortune from now on!!
but if you were winning 1-0 then it would tire them out as they be chasing the game. but they ended up tiring you out lol
Oh yes I remember, this is the same team that put 4 past your lot earlier this year.......Mind you Crawley aren't the only team to put 4 past you this season....
and were not the only team to concede 4 against crawley. at least we scored past them. you couldnt even manage that with your 1st team against a side 2 leagues below
