Gutted for the lad, excellent form, versatile and nice to see a local kid in the lineup. Spose this is the negative side to the 'willing to run through walls for the manager' ethos which O'Neill has brought to the team.

I think he will be missed in defence more than midfield as he's been superb filling in at left back - luckily we have a bit of cover - hope he recovers quickly

he's really impressed me since he came onto the scene, and he will be a miss, but hopefully not too much...

Could be a blessing in disguise and highlight our woeful lack of strength at left back. I'd have preferred to use Richardson at left back on Saturday anyway to play against Sturridge as he'd destroy Colback for pace. Hope he's back soon though as he's been good since O'Neill.

Sturridge is out as far as I know.

It could be a chance for Meyler to get a chance to show the gaffer what he can do!

This!!! I think Meyler is getting back to full fitness, and once in the team will take some shifting...

It show's how strong our squad is starting to become when we've got Meyler to come in. Meyler was quality before his injury, hopefully he can get back up to that standard soon. I remember him dominating the midfield against City playing against Toure, Barry and De Jong!

Thats why warm ups before a match should be scrapped, if a player is fit the previous day then he is ready for the match. When i was a decorator i didn't 'warm' up before i went to work as i was super fit anyway!.

As I'm doing a Sport Science degree I have to completely disagree with everything you've said. Physiologically you need to warm up muscles before any form of exercise regardless of intensity. You can't possibly go into a match without warming up. There'd be more injuries if no one warmed up compared to the small amount of injuries sustained in a warm up.

You can't really compare decorating to playing a 90 minutes match, completely different situations.

Yes if it wasn't for the prematch warm ups there'd be a lot more injuries than we get at present.
