The FA all need sacking, who in the FA thought it was a good idea to employ some1 who speaks no english, who has never managed in England to become the manager of the england football team and offer him a new contract a week before literally one of 2 tournaments he competes in, is a complete joke

Nothing up here - the local press are agog with the news that Deveronvale have signed a new striker from Turriff United, no space for all that Blatter B*ll*cks!

Almost nothing has been said here. When it was all over the TV and press in the UK just before that news conference, I did a search to find out just what the view was. I could not even find a single report or comment from any of the media.

Since he was re-elected there has been one or two bits about the suspended members, but he seems to have a clean bill of health.

Maybe they are just not that interested?

The highlight of the whole debacle for me was receiving lectures on fair play from the representatives of Haiti and Congo. Shame in many ways that no other failed states cared to stick their oar in; would've been most amusing to have heard the Somalian delegates views.

The Argentine Grondona's hissy fit was particularly unedifying. With his history of controversy, he seems a perfect member of what he would describe as the 'FIFA family' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julio_Grondona).

I agree. The sponsors rule here, and they will follow where the top teams are. But could we muster enough to get to the tipping point? I doubt it.

In Europe you would need England(prem) Spain (la ligue) the leagues with the most money! You could (with a bit of political winging ) Get the yanks onside!
Aussie would go for it like a shot and prob take most of Australasia with them ! Whether that would be a tipping point I dont know , but it might give a serious wake up call to the games leaders!

Germany share England's view. The way that Italy is going, Germany are probably the third most important league in the world right now.

All we need to do is make concessions to Spain. Tell them that they will forever have the final say over the future of football in Gibraltar, and the conditions are right for a break-away. That really is all there is to it.

Love to see it but fear it will never happen - we don't know how to influence other countries any more - we tend to stand isolated

Matt Forde was saying England should hold an after season international tounament for anyone in Europe that wanted to take part, if it could get andywhere near the size of the European group then it could easily pull away from UEFA and therefore open the door to pull away from fifa
