http://www.clicklancashire.com/spor...linked-with-young-leicester-city-forward.html mind you, ive been linked to a quater pounder....
I dont want Waggy to go but if he is then we should use him as leverage in the Maynard deal otherwise keep him
**** me this is beyond the pale - Waggy going to Blackpoo - Never! I want waggy to come into his own this season and prove he is, what I know he is, a front line striker
I'd rather him go to Derby! Alright maybe a bit OTT, but I wouldn't like to see them get him. I still think he's got a part to play because we're probably going to sign less forwards than I thought. The bottom line is though he'll never get regular football here. Agree with Proud, if we're going to sell him use him as leverage. Though I don't think Bristol want strikers. I'd like him to stay one more year and then if both sides aren't happy with the way things are, agree to part.
With Mills signing for 5M is takes some pressure off Waggy as Waggy is no longer the big money signing. We may see the Martyn Waghorn we had on loan again.
All you have to do is be stubborn with your asking price - and Blackpool will fall like a house of cards. There chairman makes Ken Bates look like Whitney Houston in a Colombian drug farm!
After all the s**t they dug up regarding the Campbell transfer, including the weird assumption that we should've given him to them for nothing, I'd say eff off to Hollowhead and Oyston. Include him as part of the Maynard offer, might sway it.
Just waiting for comments like 'he is essential to the way we play', 'he loves this club', 'we will insure his teeth', and finally 'we will let him go for less than we paid for him when we are relegated again'. Blackpool ? I dont think so
I hope waggy will be a regular sub for us, or even in the starting 11 if he ups his game after his injury last season. If we had [Gally Nugent Vassell] with [Waggy and Schlupp/Howard] on the bench to start the season, i would be happy.
Unfortunately, I think a move might be best for all parties as Waghorn's natural game is to use his physical power and pace to out-muscle defenders but Sven likes players who are more technical and work to pass the ball around and work openings and I don't think Waggy's first touch is good enough for that and neither is his composure in front of goal. Although, I'd prefer another striker to come in before seeing Waghorn leave.
Think Waggy could be a good partner alongside Nugent, he as the pace and strength to terrifier defences in this league! He needs to calm down abit but think sven can see something in him as a player here, may not start but certainly use as a impact player! far to good for the sheepshaggers or Tambourines!
