View attachment 20658 vs Instead of taking on Michael Appleton last week we now take him on at his third club of the season, Blackburn Rovers. The game is at Ewood Park and as usual is a Saturday 3 o'clock kick off. Last weekend on our return to league action we were able to overcome Blackpool 2-1 with goals from Jackson and Wagstaff. Blackburn played Wolves in the Friday night game of that week and were help 1-1 Rhodes scored with a penalty for Blackburn. When we played Blackburn earlier in the season we drew 1-1 at the Valley. Rovers took the lead through a Dickson Etuhu strike and after missing a penalty Johnnie Jackson made amends by nodding home a header from a Danny Hollands cross. Obviously we have to look out for Jordan Rhodes as their potiential match winner but he rarely plays well against Morrison and if we can keep him quite then I am confident of a result. I was thinking of keeping the same team that beat Blackpool but sorry even though he scored I am not convinced by Wagstaff and would prefer Wright-Phillips supporting Kermorgant up top. If Dervite is back from susupension I'd bring him back in for Taylor. COYR
Belv You have dropped Taylor after his fine performance against Blackpool? No CB on the bench yet three wingers? Can't see Suli on the bench rather than Button
I hope that the match goes ahead. Blackburn have surely got undersoil heating so the only factor to worry about is public safety. I'll be surprised if Taylor is dropped, and it remans to be seen whether The Doctor goes 4-4-2, or whether he keeps Waggy.
I'd go for: Hamer Solly Taylor Morro Evina Wilson Pritch Stephens Jackson Wagstaff Kermit the frog subs: button wiggins dervite green fuller harriot bwp I'm looking at the squad and thinking we are woefully short in the middle of the park...
The game is officially on right now apparently. I don't think it would be fair to drop Waggy or Taylor after last week. Its going to be a very tough game either way, a point would be a welcome result to me.
Hamer Solly Taylor Morro Wiggins Wilson Stephens Pritchard Jackson Evina Fuller Subs Button Dervite Ajayi Harriot Kermit Waggy Bwp
I fancy us for this one. 2-1 to The Addicks. Apparently we are to be graced by the presence of the 'Venky's matriarch' at the game today. An honour indeed...I hope our players are not overawed. Here's hoping that all Addicks travelling to the game have a safe and productive journey.
Hamer; Solly, Morrison, Taylor, Evina; Wilson, Stephens, Pritchard, Jackson, Wagstaff; Kermorgant Subs:Green, BWP, Wiggins, Fuller, Button, Harriott, Dervite
