Just watching the news about the Oscars at how there are very few black actors up for Oscars etc etc. Obviously the blacks are playing the race card in a clever way without actually saying the racist word. Now what gets me is they interviewed this bloke who runs a black actors agency! Well if that ain't racism what the **** is. We couldn't have an agency for white actors or the blacks would kick off on one! Am all for equality and with actors like denzil Washington, Morgan Freeman, Sam Jackson there are enough actors to win those Oscars. What's your opinions on this one sided racist stuff?
The black people that portray themselves as race victims, had a point 30 years ago. The world has moved on and is a lot more equal and fair these days.
There are associations for blacks only. Black police et al. If there were clubs for white police only it would be racist. Why is that?
That's my point, we are supposed to be equal, yet there are clubs, associations etc that are ok for blacks but if whites had them they would be deemed as being racist clubs etc.
Society of Black lawyers National Black police association National Black arts alliance Black and ethnic minority teachers have their own conferences There's loads more too, where's the white groups?
It would be really interesting if someone set one up just to see how they could possibly argue against it seeing as how they were first.
Was bused to a High school , from a navy base , in Nova Scotia Canada in 1967 to an area that most of the descendants of " The Underground Railway " lived outside Dartmouth . Out of 1,000 students , 150 were white and the rest were black I was definetily discriminated against as a white person , frankly I was glad just to get home every day . Had some very good black friends but a lot were a very angry lot . I actually felt abused more by the government for sending me there because we were children of people who were employed by the Government and they seemed to think they controlled us .
Todays news.... ----------------------------------------------------- Dawn Butler told BBC 5 Radio Live she was in a members-only lift when an unnamed Commons member told her: "This lift really isn't for cleaners." The Labour MP for Brent Central said it had been one of "so many incidents" of racism she had encountered while in Parliament. The 46-year-old became an MP in 2005 and was re-elected last year. Former London mayor Ken Livingstone said that for Ms Butler to be confronted in such a manner was "ridiculous" as "she was elected years ago" and "gets up and speaks" in the chamber. Ms Butler, the daughter of Jamaican immigrants, has previously described other instances of racism in the Commons. Writing for the Fawcett Society in 2008, she said she was once confronted by a former minister who queried whether she was allowed in the members area on the terrace. She wrote that when she told him she was an MP, he replied: "They're letting anybody in nowadays."
The reason it's one sided is because white people haven't suffered from years of oppression at the hands of black people. It's the same reason that gay rights groups are a thing and straight rights aren't, straight people haven't been attacked and put down for decades because of their sexuality. Yes it's a little bit one sided but if you want to blame anyone blame our slave owning ancestors.
I agree completely that there are ****ers who overplay the race card. I've been accused of being racist in the past a couple of times just for disagreeing with the political opinions of arseholes (who happened to be black, there are of course loads of white arseholes as well). Mates of mine have had much worse experiences. However, it shouldn't be forgotten that ... Nacho is spot on.
Morgan freeman is a brilliant actor, up there with Clint eastwood. Sidney poitier in the heat of the night, fantastic. Sammy davis junior, how I would have liked to hang around with him in the 1960's ! and Richard prior was hilarious. There is no colour or religion in my book we are all the same and should help and live with each other.
Noted and accepted. This issue has correctly and thankfully been rectified. The world is a lot fairer now, so how long do white people, allow black people to still get favourable treatment because of their past? (Not mine, I've done nothing wrong and I'm being punished because of people's attitudes before I was born? **** that) But now white people are being oppressed, do you see a future when white people start groups/associations, because of this? If not, why not?
