    NORWICH LATEST

BBC Sport Online East's Chris Osborne has news of another potential Norwich arrival: "I understand Norwich have offered £1.5m, plus £500,000 in add-ons and a player, for Birmingham's Curtis Davies. Blues have yet to make a decision on the offer.

"The Norwich player used as part of the deal is likely to be Leon Barnett."

"Norwich are understood to have offered £2m, plus Leon Barnett, for the 27-year-old but Birmingham want a £4m straight cash deal."

£4m is absolutely ridiculous. No way should we pay that.

I'd personally rather pay that than pay £8m for Hooper

Isn't that more than what we paid for Bassong though? No deal.

Birmingham come out and basically tell the world they need money and then suddenly believe they're in a strong position to negotiate.

£2mill Birmingham - take it or leave it.

A few things I've heard is 4m straight cash! They are snakes, but it may still happen nearer the window when they realise they actually do need to sell.

Exactly. This is different to the Hooper deal in that Birmingham need to sell whereas Celtic are unwilling.

The thing is we may need this deal to go through to allow us to know how much exactly we can put down for Hooper

Transfermarkt value Barnett at £1.8m, Davies at £3.1m. Seeing as Birmingham need to sell, I don't think the usual guidelines of doubling the prices are relevant. £1.5-2.0m + Barnett would be very fair.
