So we have not beaten the Brummies in 11 years. It would be a great result to turn that around tonight and hopefully a plum home draw for the next round . We are playing well as a team away from home, and another this weekend at Peterboro. Anyone have any idea if Cody is fit to play can't wait to see him partner Dack. Well good luck to all those travelling to another mid-week away match UTG
No 'real' surprises in last night's results as the 'major' teams appeared to take this cup seriously for a change. I await the 'independent' reviews from the fans who were there (I live in SW France) as opposed to relying on the club's report which will point to whether the team changes had a large impact on our performance. Saturday's game at Peterborough will be interesting with two teams wanting to put last night's result behind them and Gills not wanting to suffer a dent in their early confidence and self belief. Peterborough are there for the taking and Gills will have to reveal their ruthless side......all successful sides have and need one.
From listening to Gills player it felt like a game too many. There wasn`t anything to really get excited about in the game. The fans sounded very loud,so they did the club proud last night. We were always likely to lose this game,it`s how the young squad responds to the first defeat on Saturday.
