Had 0-0 written all over it before the game and to be honest rarely looked liked being any other during the game.

Birmingham were disappointing particularly in the first half when we stopped them with ease and had much more of the play than them. We even managed to hit the bar in a rare moment of excitement. Evans and McKenna were excellent in the first half and completely ran the midfield.

Bet Brum got a talking to at half time and they also changed tactics in the second playing much more direct and supporting King much more which they failed to do in the first. We passed poorely in the second half and consequently they put us under much more pressure without really threatening much.

Overall MOTM was Hobbs for me, who never put a foot wrong in the game. Wally of the match was Burke who continually whingeded he was being fouled each time Daws took the ball off him and resorted to diving.

Good away point against the division's form team, we move on.

Oh and a mention for the Birmingham fans.............quiet!

To be fair I don't think we can say a word about the fans - Until we went 3-0 up against Bristol you could easily have heard a pin drop, it was ridiculous.

Hobbs definitely mom, mentioned him on te match thread, class apart. Burke certainly lived up to his name, after the game at the kc I was worried about him terrorising Dawson, but he was actually utterly ****e.

Biggest positive: decent ref for once shock horror although I think their number 4 should have seen red for pulling Fryatt back when he was clear through to run at goal. Ah well, fair point.

Caldwell wasn't last man or he would have walked.

There can't have been more than a yard in it between him and the last man, either way Fryatt would have been one on one with Myhill so stopped a goal scoring opportunity so should have walked anyway IMO.

I don't know what match you went too. Could hear loads of chanting and singing from the East stand. You never get much from the West Stand

Have to agree good result at Birmingham even though we have dropped out of the play off place for the moment.

Chris Hughton - "I thought Hull have a bit of pace up front. They are good on the counter-attack and a young side which defends very well''. Nice to hear some positive comments from an opposing manager. Good point last night against the league's in form side but 3 points is a must against Brighton with trips to Blackpool and Cardiff coming up.

Always comes across as a sound bloke does Hughton.

    Good manager as well.

Didn't go last night but great to hear Hobbs had another stormer.

Just one question, where's TigerStew or whatever he was called gone these days?

Every week he'd be on here slagging off Hobbs and calling him a donkey. I think Nick used to cross swords with the clown most weeks.

    Funny how he's gone quiet.

You are right there, have to win all our home games and pick up as many points as possible on the road.

surprised there weren't more handballs then. now I realise why it seemed like we had 13 on the pitch at times last night.

Hobbs and Chester impressed me. When one was out of position the other was there to cover. When Birmingham managed to get past one then the other one got them. Both absolute stars.

Are you serious? There was the occasional murmur every 15 minutes until Fryatt made it 3-0, then it livened up. Before that I could hear the players communicating at the other side of the pitch, it was barely louder than the minute's silence at the beginning of the game.

i said before the game id snap your hand off for a draw, but i actually came away thinking we had let birmingham off the hook..
they where nowere near as good as i thought they would be with there home record, just a load of terry d hoofers...and i think with a bit more caution to the wind we could have won it, i thought we set out for a point really.
still, cant complain really with a point away from home.
