if what is being said is true then no wonder it was rejected, two installments of less than £10K, to be fair i'd say that was a joke as well. hes not worth the £250K that dover had quoted and tbh if we were prepared to pay that much i reckon we could get a proven league striker, maybe even cody for that amount. would say the guy has got to be worth atleast an £80K punt plus some add ons, considering we supposedly paid over £100K for kedwell

Seems to me that all of what happened a year ago sticks in Parmeters throat still. The offer made by the chairman is normal practice within football and is all part of the game. Scally's bid is no more of a joke than Parmeters valuation of £250,000. Parmeter needs to stop throwing his toys out of the pram and do what is best for a player that obviously has ambitions of playing higher up the leagues and has served his club very well.

Birchall is a good player but there is price limitations on him 80-100 is ok but he is not worth more than Kedwell.

I personally think he is worth more than Kedwell. I know a lot will disagree but that's fine. The past shouldnt count for too much but he has played U21 International football and came through one of the best youth systems in the country. Played at league level before and banged goals in for fun. Obviously lost his way somewhere along the line but has age on his side and seems determined to make it. He ran us ragged in the FA Cup and knows Hess and Hendon through Dover and Barnet. Also another local lad.

You know what's funny about all of this imo, if all these reports are true...

JB get's in trouble for using twitter, then a Chairman's business dealings and words some how get out to the media all in the space of a few day's.

So can I assume that we will no longer being doing business with Dover now, in the same way we didn't with JB?

There chairman is coming across as a real little sh*t. Going on about how the bid is 'a joke'. Why don't you just be professional about it and say 'it would take a lot more for us to consider selling Adam' rather than have a go at Gillingham. 'It barely cover's thje taxi ride'?? Sorry but who do you think you are? That is a offer of 20 grand! Not 50 quid! It's obvious this bid wasn't going to get him but I think Dover and more importantly Jim Parmenter need to face that fact's. Dover are not, never have been or ever will be a big club so stop acting like a child and sit down with Mr. Scally and agree a fee. Then finally we can cut off tie's with this shambles of a club.
(I'm not a Dover hater but this article as really annoyed me)

I heard on radio Kent this morning that the Dover chairman would consider selling to anyone apart from Gillingham.

So not looking likely at the moment.

Another possible season loan signing then?? But definately not Cody as Norwich are looking to cash in before he goes on a free next summer.

If the reports are true, then just tell Parmenter to get stuffed, such unprofessional behaviour, regardless of what you think of the offer.

We can't have one rule for JB and another for the Dover Chairman.

I feel sorry for Birchall but that's life, either sit round a table like businessmen or move on.

Money talks louder than words. If Scally put 100k up he wont be able to turn that down
