Condolences to Billy Sharp and his family. A tragic event for a mother and father to go though, my thoughts are with you all.
As a father to a new born I would be beyond devastated if something was to happen to my child so to do what he did last night was very difficult and shows the true character of the man. Puts life into true perspective. Rip to your son Billy and my deepest condolences to you and your family
Yeah Condolences to Billy Sharp and the family in this terrible time Good to see the Ref had sense not to book him when he showed the message
Having heard what happened on the way to the game last night, I was amazed to hear he still played last night. Must be a terrible time for him. RIP.
I think it was great that the referee did not book him for taking his shirt off. RIP, thoughts with Billy and his family.
I did last night at Barnsley. Some noisy muppets near me were told the Shut the Fuek Up just before k.o. When i told them why they did to there credit. Nice to see on SSN when i got home that Sharp scored a great goal - showed a T-shirt Balotelli style and did niot get booked. A ref. with a small amount of common sense and decency. Even Mowbray clapped his goal reports say. Billy Sharp is a proper footballer and puts the likes of Carlos Tevez to shame. Great Stuff Billy. R.I.P. your son of 2 days. and my deepest sympathy to the Sharp family.
Damn right. The yellow card in football is just a joke now. Any silly minor technical offence or soft tackle in an innoccuous area is an immediate booking but dangerous crazy tackles are only a booking if the victim makes a scene of it.
spot on. Did you see that Wycome lad on saturday 15 yr old Jordan Ibe who scored his first pro-goal from the D and then ran to celebrate with his parents stood at the side and then the Ref. booked him. Madness pure madness. Even Ibe's capt,. got booked for having the gaul to have a go at the ref. utter madness it is.
Condolences to Billy Sharp and his family...... maybe Carlos Tevez should take a long hard look at himself because this guy is a true sportsman.
I'm glad Sharp wasn't booked last night for that and good to see the referee show some common sense and decency towards Sharp. By showing his shirt he wasn't offending anyone or trying to incite rival fans but pay a mark of respect, it's a trivial rule in the first place but credit to the referee for not booking him.
According to most of the Donnie fans it was his best game of the season as well, and he scored a cracking goal to add to that. Sometimes life can turn around and hit you in the face, but hopefully Billy will recover from such an awful tragedy. Condolences to him and his family.
