Anyone else think twitter is just, ****? I'm not just moaning about celebrities talking **** on it and all that, and I gather it's a pretty fast news source. No, my gripe is simply that the layout is just really, really ****. I know it's not meant to be like facebook, but on facebook if someone posts something you see it and all its corresponding comments underneath. In this case I'd go on Sharp's page, see his post and underneath that there would be all the reaction including OLM's taunt that I was looking for. Twitter is just a mess, you have to read everyone's conversations back-to-front, and usually waste several clicks to see any more than just the very last reply of the conversation, which on its own hardly ever makes sense. Worse still, you can't see what anyone has posted on someone elses page without going to the page of the person who said it. To find what OLM had said, I had to go to his page rather than Sharp's. So even though I follow OLM I wouldn't have known he'd said anything if he hadn't put it on here. I don't use twitter much at all even though I have an account, so maybe I'm missing something that makes it a lot simpler, but it just looks **** to me.
Here you go(other people joined in, these are just the bits I was involved in)... Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport To those #hcafc fans bemoaning RL memories from KC Stadium read out on #Sportstalk & crying bias, seems you forgot to send your City ones in 19h Originallambrettaman ‏@origlambman @mikewhitesport It's no wonder there's no football fans listening to Sportstalk, when you've got that mumbling buffoon Gwilym presenting it. 17h Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @origlambman Not sure when you last listened to the show....but regardless if that, not interested in your insults of a friend/colleague. 17h George Bell ‏@GeorgieBoy61 @mikewhitesport Got a lot of time for you, Mike, but you have to accept an awful lot of City fans really don't like your friend/colleague. 17h Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @GeorgieBoy61 That may be so but doesn't mean I'd let people criticise him to me without supporting him. Some is downright vile & hateful. 17h Originallambrettaman ‏@origlambman @mikewhitesport It wasn't really an insult, merely a critique... 17h Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @origlambman In my experience "mumbling buffoon" falls under the heading of insult. Originallambrettaman ‏@origlambman @mikewhitesport Not compared to what I'd normally say about him. ARF! 17h George Bell ‏@GeorgieBoy61 @mikewhitesport Sed b4 youre a bit precious about him. Wot @origlambman sed was not vile or hateful. If he was less anti-City it wud stop. Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @GeorgieBoy61 @origlambman ....regardless of what you think if someone, nobody deserves that for doing their job IMO. Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @GeorgieBoy61 @origlambman That comment wasn't but was unnecessary & yes I do defend him. I've witnessed people threaten & spit at him... Originallambrettaman ‏@origlambman @mikewhitesport @GeorgieBoy61 Much as I think he should never have been let anywhere near a microphone, spitting at him is going way too far George Bell ‏@GeorgieBoy61 @origlambman @mikewhitesport how about urinating? Sorry, Mike!! Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport @Tabbo_M He stood on the terraces at Boothferry Park long before most of us were born & went as a fan to Wembley. Hardly a City-hater. Mike White ‏@mikewhitesport “@jack_mclean: @Mc_Robbie Sportstalk really is shocking. Obsessed with telling themselves that Hull is a rugby City...” Thanks for listening Originallambrettaman ‏@origlambman @mikewhitesport @jack_mclean @mc_robbie At least I know what you definitely don't need for Christmas. A shovel... #wheninquicksandstopmoving
Just click on a tweet and the responses appear underneath(along with details of retweet's, or favourites). It can be difficult to follow a conversation, unless you follow everyone involved in that conversation, though it's obviously easy to follow any conversation you're involved in as your name is generally mentioned in every tweet.
Prompted by the thread on here that listed all the current and past players i decided to final join up. My experience so far has led me to believe that it's pretty much a bag of **** and as others have said on here, very user unfriendly.
Did anyone mention to him he fell for me taking the piss about enemy managers doing their scouting on the FLS and tweeted about it? What a prize ****, and for the record gollum is an arsewipe.
Twitter is the fastest source of news and can be very good, though it does take a while to get used to the format. It's really only as good as the people you follow, people like Elizabeth Windsor @Queen_UK are fantastic, Pete O'Rourke @SkySportsPeteO is good for general football news. Apart from the Aluko v Mclean twitter battles, the City players(in fact, almost all footballers) are boring to follow, they only tweet about Call Of Duty and eating at Nando's.
He's on there too (@Nostradamus), though he's not predicting much nowadays, his last tweet was in 2008.
That's not necessarily an issue, John F. Kennedy @JFK1962 is still posting daily and has over 16,000 followers.
