Anyone listen to Chris Evans in the morning? When he left R2 I took it as the opportunity to change breakfast listening because the R2 playlist has become beyond crap - full of songs without real instruments sung by "singers" where you can't understand the words. Basically nothing to do with the R2 audience. Anyway, I'm thinking that Chris Evans went to Virgin because they told him he could do pretty much whatever he wants. Which seems to be the case, involving talking an increasing amount of pretentious twaddle between music, and while the music is on the face of it better than R2, he talks over so much of it that you never get anything like the full song. For example a proper DJ like Tony Blackburn will talk over the intro, and knowing exactly how to pitch what he's saying to the song, stop exactly as the singing starts. Evans does not bother with that whatsoever. But my main problem has to be the zen-****e he comes up with. "You need to take 5% of today and give it to tomorrow..." he actually said yesterday. He could fill up a whole Private Eye with the "Psueds Corner" section every week.

Today's back pages are mostly leading with 'Chelsea fans in racism shocker...' Is it really a surprise....?.....to anyone? This latest instalment comes within days of that stupid old fool, Bruce Buck, bleating on about educating these morons being the answer. Strange that, last night, when the heat was on, they chose to educate them by refusing them entry to the stadium.....and it seems to have worked. Well, who would have guessed? Any day now, expect Chelsea to launch yet another new, shiny, earnest initiative on anti-semitism, to 'take the heat off'.....sorry, address the vile use of the word Yid in N17. I wonder if Bruce will fund me on a foreign holiday....I definitely need educating after Tuesday.
May I suggest that any 'holiday' should be to a remote area of the Congolese rain forest at least 500 miles away from the nearest shop. Without the help of the locals they wouldn't survive a week, that might educate them.

There are currently about 100 seats available at the back of the East and 50 on the West. Not on the Ticket Exchange but newly released.

Jim White on Talksport this morning, was almost orgasming over the way Chelsea outed these yobs last night, by not issuing tickets without passport ID. Chelsea have set the bar here he shrieked. I wanted to scream back at him that if Chelsea are so anti-aemitism, why the hell they didn’t come down heavy on JT when he clearly racially abused Anton Ferdinand.
As usual, Chelsea are all slick presentation and no substance. They've got a scheme for addressing racism and try to be seen as some sort of leader in relation to addressing the issue. However, they remain the club at the centre of a large number of such incidents and have the most vocal, racist support in England. Someone should point out to Bruce Buck that nobody cares about these loonies beliefs and or motivations for the hatred and there's very little likelihood of changing their small-minded mentality. Players and spectators just don't want to listen to them at football. If they transgress what's acceptable, then ban them all - preferably for life. If you do it consistently, for long enough, it'll stop or you'll run out of fans - which is what this seems to be about. Chelsea FC need to stand up to those stuck in the 70's or wanting to recreate them....but they won't do it.
