Gibralter has a population of 29,436 so I suspect if you could lace a pair of football boots without pulling a muscle then you would get picked for their national team.
What is Gibraltar? One mile wide by less than a mile with a bloody great rock in there somewhere!!!!!! Fantastic to see them with a football team not to mention a bus route!!!!! Great place to spend 4 days though.I'm due a revisit.......one day.....and at the Caletta Palace Hotel too, watching that beautiful sun come up over North Africa as you eat your breakfast!!!!!! The border wasn't open when I visited there so entry into Spain would be another trip.
I see on a different thread that he has agreed to join the Hall of Fame. Did he speak about that? The problem was down to being expected to pay for a table I think?
He feels the club should not be using former players to boost their revenue. Any money raised from these Hall of Fame dinners should go the welfare of ex players and not into the clubs coffers, according to Jimmy. Perryman has also held the same view and so he has not joined the HOF, although he has never quite fallen out with the club over it as strongly as Greaves has.
I would agree with Jimmy's stance on that one. The amount of money made by the club on something like this would be relative peanuts, in terms of overall revenue. It seems petty and greedy that it's not used to help support former loyal servants of the club, who were not paid the millions that today's players receive.
He did'nt say anything about HOF but he did say his day's at Spurs were the best of his life, and he was very happy there
to long to repeat them all but the chopper Harris one was he tried to take Jim's legs but jim jumped out of the way and chopper, slid underneath,as he landed Jim gave him a forearm smash, and blood went every where,as the ref called jim overto send him off Chopper jumped up ran over to the ref,and said,Please,DON'T send him off
It was when Heskey played for Bruce at Birmingham. Bruce walked into the dressing room one day and there was a massive turd on the dressing room floor. Bruce said "whose **** on the floor" ? Heskey replied "I am Boss, but I'm not too bad in the air" .
Interesting to read that Notts County are reported to be about to appoint Ricardo Moniz as their next manager. Moniz worked at Spurs as our Skills Coach under Martin Jol. Those at the club who were around in those days, rave about him and say he really knows his stuff.
Seems to struggle to stay in a job, for some reason, even when things are going very well on the pitch. Maybe he's not cut out to be a manager, despite being a top notch coach? The club are in a tricky position right now, so he'll be brave to take that role.
Not exactly and yes. True story: Liverpool girl (shortly before I bailed her and another of our friends out of jail in Germany): "Do you you think he knows English? Do you think he understands me?" Me. "I know Engish. I don't understand you."
