There is a UK journalist, Paolo (cannot for the life of me recall his surname ) , who did a documentary on the overseas wealth lording it in London. The myth of "trickle down" economics was laid bare : the industries supporting the manufacture/purchase of flashy/bespoke cars/clothes/jewellery etc, does not trickle down money to either the tax man, nor the man in the street anywhere close to being significant.
The better name for it is horse and sparrow theory. If you feed the horse enough oats, then some of it will pass through to the road for the sparrows. They changed that one, for some reason!

Yes, it's a winter break. Some international teams have fixtures, too. The AFCON is still going and the American and Asian countries have qualifiers.
