    To be fair, the Migrant Crisis thread is still a good read and very topical, even if the figures quoted back then are now sadly much lower than at present.

    I was thinking of merging that thread into the 'news & current affairs' one. But I'll leave it for now.
    All I would ask is that members try to keep their contributions as reasoned as possible, it is a very emotive subject.

    I'm just not certain it warrants its own thread, any more than the NHS crisis or the Cost of living crisis or the Housing crisis or the Israel / Gaza crisis.

    I admit COVID got its own thread back in the day (a few weeks before the first lockdown), but that was a uniquely alarming situation at the time.
    Was also back when the Sheriff was moderating.
