I work for Toyota and am currently driving a Yaris, the new one is rather nice and has a cool media system, if your after good fuel economy go for the 1.4 diesel. Or if you can wait until next summer the hybrid version is out, you will get about 90 mpg. It's also full of gadgets.
The IQ is for girls though and bloody expensive for what it is.

Think I'll stick with my SAAB Convertible - its the dogs bollocks of a gas guzzler - but am thinking of getting a Copen for a wee runabout, coz of its sheer quirkyness

for good value have a look at the Chevrolet Spark. I think they look sporty although in reality they are not that quick.
We have one and no complaints though and for the money a decent car. In fact we have two Chevrolets and to date no issues at all.

I find it hard to believe that you are old enough to drive, or that you are mentally stable enough to hold a driving licence.

And I can also rule out the IQ. I'm definately leaning towards something European, even if I am still undecided.

Stay away from the Citroen C1. Hired a car in the South of France and they gave me that... in automatic as well!

    0-60 in about 1 minute.

They say the Vauxhall Viva is a nice little car or the Marina, which is a right fanny magnate. So they say like.
