Certainly impressive, I guess most of my generation would go for Banks' save from Pele in the 1970 World Cup
Sorry about the quality of the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZmFoo4payA Won them the cup that day
Not quite your generation old chap, but I do remember seeing it. My vote, for a more recent Norwich save, would got to Andy Marshall against Coventry. Very similaar to Banks' save against Brazil. Just a shame Marshall then blotted his copybook by doing what he did. Will try to find a youtube link of it later if I can.
Sorry lads. searched for ages and cant find it on youtube. Did I have a 60+ moment and imagine it all then?
Bugger!!! I was sure it had happened. Ah well.......Quick...get the men in the white coats. I fear it's downhill all the way. To quote - or at least slightly adjust - the great Billy Conolly... Jesus christ I'm nearly sixty, My pubic hair is turning. I canna remember the things that I used to, I fear it's downhill all the way.
Maestro, I was at Highfield Road that day, and it was a way, way better save than Banks v Pele - although I had my green and yella specs on at the time, plus a couple of pints in the (gross) Sky Blue tavern opposite!
Thank God for that Cromer. Was beginning to think that I was imagining it. No need for the men in white coats just yet then................I hope!
Great choice Foggo. I'm going to have to go for one of Peter Schmeichels saves in Champions League it was against either Bayern Munich or Juventus.
I was also at Highfield road. It was a great save and Dublin should have been sent off. Marshall also kept out Newcastle almost single-handedly the game after his debut.
