Ive always been an admirer of Leon Best at Newcastle. Young, talented, cracking left foot but above all else he is dying to be a first team striker somewhere. Newcastle have apparently told him he can leave and i think he would be a brilliant replacement for Moro. Thoughts? In KJ we trust! (But can he get a move on?!)
Leon Best would be a good signing but unfortunately it will be another Championship club who signs him because they will offer a higher salary than us. We can't compete for Premiership reserve or experienced Championship players because of the current pay structure we have in place. The fact that we lost out on Ryan Taylor to Bristol City says it all. We will eventually make signings from the players available who no other clubs want. With players released, sold, transferred, loan periods expired we are down to a squad of 20 players and just 3 strikers and yet we don't appear to be close to signing any replacements. I wish the club would make an official statement to reassure fans that efforts are being made behind the scenes to bring in new players instead of leaving us to see reports that we are interested in this player and that player only to read a few days later that they have signed for another club. RANT OVER!!!
if you read this article : http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...t-move-for-nufc-s-nile-ranger-72703-28894607/ the askin price is 4m£.. we will never pay that for a player in near future. and his wages is comparable to a prem striger aswell i guess.. get the fellah in on loan for a season
i agree sealion but im currently reading michael calvin's book and tbh bringing in a player on big wages may just disrupt what is a proper team... id like to see best and ranger TBH as i think they would both work their socks off to prove not only to themselves but the fans and former employees what they have to offer week in week out... unless the whole squad gets a salary increase id hate to see an over paid footballer come in and destroy the ethos and obviously great environment we have at 'wall... in saying that we need to make quality signings to build on a fantastic previous season... anyway here's to the new season cant wait..... in kj we trust COYL
