    Bets that you've ever made??

I currently have one on with one of my best mates, who's a die-hard Spurs fan, to the point he has the Spurs logo tattoo'd over his heart. The bet was made when Spurs were 10points clear that Arsenal would finish above Spurs, loser has the wear the other teams shirt, and there will be photographic evidence!!

There's been plenty of banter between us, but he's bricking it now.

Just wondering what the best and worst bets you've made are? Ever had to do something seriously embarrassing? Ever made a pot load of money on something ridiculous?

Best was Last Suspect to win the grand National many moons ago. had him at 66/1 as well as the forcast.
2nd best was £50 on a dead cert. Got to the bookies late and only had time to write the number on the slip. My cert lost by a mile and I threw the ticket away in disgust. As I was just at the door, the bookie called after me "oi, how the **** did you pick that winner?". I had wrote the wrong number and fluked a 25/1 shot :p

Just remembered another good one. I managed to get Desert Orchid at 25/1 before he became a superstar :)

Worst was a greyhound bet - forcast treble (not sure if they still let you do them). My 1st 2 races won and the 3rd came in the wrong way around. Lost thousands on that one bet and have always reversed my forcasts ever since :(

Worst bet I ever saw was my brother put 11 quid to win on Crisp in the Grand National at 40-1.

For those of you that are too young, Crisp was the small horse that Red Rum ran down to beat by a short head, after going over the last fence about 20 lengths behind, for the first of his Grand National wins. The winnings would have been about 2 months salary back then. It would have been a very good each-way bet, as it was he got nothing.

Best bet I ever had was picking France to win the world cup in the office pool, back when they won it. No one else wanted to pick them and I got enough points out of that, to make up for all my other terrible picks on the way through the tournament. I collected a few hundred quid for that. I also backed Grittar to win the Grand national. I got an inside tip, and had a hundred quid on him.
