Berbatov?

Berbatov said on facebook- he wants to leave ManU. news is said 10M but he asked Fergie how much he is, Fergie said 5M. he seems really wanna go to other club. I hope qpr spend money for him.

 

People feel able to turn down the likes of Berbatov. We have arrived!

 

According to The Times we have put in a £5 m offer for Berbatov. They also have us interested in Bellamy but put Cardiff as more likely to get him. And confirm we are seeking a CB.
For sale ( same article) 7 players, only ones named DJ, Betty and HH.

 

I'd be surprised if Betty went - he toured and looked kind of solid in the games I saw.

Maybe Hughes can get the best out of him....?

 

We should keep well away from Berbatov
He is a player who would be on high wages and we would be stuck with him

 

So you would prefer to stick with DJ and Betty than have Berbatov? Don't think your ambitions match the club's mate. If Phil Beard, Amit and TF agree we can afford the wages, I'd be inclined to trust them with the decision.

Having said that, somehow doubt that this will actually happen.

This is a hard one for me.
Although i like Berba, i also think we are getting way ahead of ourselves too quickly. As long as we are not in the bottom 7 surely its a good season for our second year back?

When i looked at the squad i could see a lot of good players missing out.
Why did we get AJ in when we are linked with Defoe?
Why get in Berba when we have so many forwards?
Surely now it must be a defender we get in?

 

DJ no, Betty, if we don't add any further up front, will get a chance when injuries, suspensions etc kick in. And im fine with thadongles got something to offer. But that's not the point, as you well know - Berbatov is streets ahead of either, and our existing strikers, including Cisse.

Its precisely the opposite. We dont want a player to wander around the game being lazy and not even trying. He may well pull that off at Man U but we are a team who cant afford to have any passengers. Even Taarabt has worked that out now. He talented but old and lazy and would be a massive waste of wages.

Two things I need to get off my chest regarding some of the posts on here.
1.mh done an interview about the end of may I think it was, stating that he never sells players til he's bought their replacement. So please people, stop f***ing going on about how many strikers we have. If he gets one in he will sell the others!!
2.if anyone bothered to check out the opta stats on berbatov, you will be surprised to find he's one of the top players in the man u team for distance covered in a game!!! He's not lazy, just has a different style of play...

 

Sorry mate, but to turn down Defoe or Berba is just bloody ridiculous.

 

They are good players Id accept on a free but they are not the right players for us. Any transfer fee would be a write off which is a huge waste.

We already have 6 30+ forwards in DJ, JB, AJ, BZ, HH and DC. We dont need any more.

 

This sums up my feelings too. I think we have enough firepower up front already and we have a greater need for reinforcements at the back imo. I know Hughes said he will buy replacements before he sells from the existing squad but our less-than-billionaire owner is not stupid and knows that it will be difficult to shift some of the dross (presumably, we've already been trying for a month). Therefore, prudence might now persuade him to be a bit more careful as we pass the half way stage of the window.

 

What is it with you and resale value, if he can score 10-15 goals a season and fire us up the table the higher we finish the more money we will get.

As for DJ and Bothroyd i cant see them playing. And also what are we going to do if Cisse gets a serious injury and Zamora gets sent off or injured who is going to lead the line Johnson on his own because i would rather have Defoe or Berbatov to come in.

 

So how many more goals will either get over Cisse who will have to sit on the bench if either play?
If Zamora gets sent off, HH plays as he is the only other target man at the club.

 

Excatly you just answered it your self playing HH as ae have no other options.

And why can you not play cisse and Berbatov together?? Does he not plat along side rooney and did Defoe not play along side Keane so you are making no sense
