Heard that the French papers are linking R's with Benoît Trémoulinas from Bordeaux, anyone know anything about him? Some other stuff I've come across: The Club officials(and possibly Hughes)will be travelling to speak to players/agents of a couple of targets in Europe middle of next week. On Taiwo, considering alternatives as although Hughes is happy enough with him will command a relatively hefty package, wages and fee (guess that's why Trémoulinas would come in?) Diakite deal hopefully done before Euros...

I read yesterday from a reporter close to QPR that Diakite was all done and dusted and should be completed soon. As for Taiwo, When i saw him at Chelsea he could not string 2 passes together without giving it away. rubbish that day as were the rest but for me i would not lose any sleep if he didn't join, (don't shoot me down! I just think we can get better that's all).
Watched him against Montpellier which was a good game as both hadn't lost for a while .. Montpellier pipped it. Lots of interest in these French players and Trémoulinas is very very good as good as what we have ? not sure plus Barca are after him or have been . There is wealth of great French players at the moment and the spotlight is on them all ... in Interviews the common aim is the premiership in he UK (money) but Lique One is climbing fast. Ask yourselves one big question? why don't English players play in France? Sure its a bit about money but the truth is that side by side the young English players are not good enough (skilful) to compete . France knocks out teams of players who usually have it all by 16
Joe Cole (sorry) Agree with a lot of that Dave but a lot of players like the Prem due to Money and agree recently the French League has started getting in big investment (PSG) so i would expect a few more to go across. As i said before i see us getting a few boys from abroad with Mr Rigg's connections and most of the names in the papers (rumours) won't be coming anywhere near QPR.
For me.....Diakite is a big, big signing!! Sounds to me as though MH realises this and is far keener to get him than to break the bank getting Taiwo!
Diakite is a must. Taiwo would be nice, but not at all costs. Not totally convinced by him. Think Traore is every bit as good, and better going forward. Some on here, like him because he has SOUL. We need more than soul.
