Another shocker from this clown today.

He just does nothing. Wanders around trying to be zidane and link the play but he has the technique of a league 1 player. He has no pace. Cant finish and is lazy.

I fail to see how we ever gave him the rumoured 5 year deal on such good money. If it is true he has 2 more years after this year on 40-50k a week then the board/wenger should be ashamed of giving the mug this much money. He is unsellable because he is dire. Next season we will be stuck with the mug on our payroll again.

Its a rare case when you loan someone out to showcase their ability. Instead bendy is just showcasing how much he sucks. :headbang:

Like Arshavin it worries me that these players are not impressing at their loan clubs. Bendtner had the touch of a donkey today. It's normally bad but today it was shocking. This is one of my main worries going into the summer. Getting rid of these players is going to be some task.

I wonder if we do character assessment on these young players before giving them multi-year lucrative contracts?

Seems to me several find the money enough, and they do not worry about making progress.

I'd have thought the deal would be £15k ( for example) for 1 year. If improvement agreed then £20k for another year.
Regular reserve standard £25k - rising to £30k with first team appearances..
Then 2 year contracts £35k. The motivation would be there to make progress or under Bosman you have to find another club !!

The bit that I watched of the game, I did tend to see Bendtner trying to find space, but never seeming to ever put himself in a position that would help anyone.

  8. Bendtner is just another in a long line of players that were given fat contracts at Arsenal despite not being good enough. Hope rather than judgement was used to shape our future.

Bendy is a good player, he just needs constant games and to get his confidence up and his touch etc

He's shown time and time again he can do brilliance, like his goal against leeds? the other year, perfectly controlled a long ball, great bit of skill to beat a player, then a perfect placed shot right into the corner
place him up front with a small vela type player and he'll be good much like he was during his CC days

Its all about players and systems and teams. If a player like Diego Forlan can go to Manchster United, and look ordinary then you realize that players need to fit in.

Bendtner seems to do good work for Denmark, but he doen't seem to have found a team in England that suits his game.

I didn't see him as bad as descriped here, he tried hard but usually it's not good enough for a club like Arsenal.

If he does really well at the Euros it will be easier to ship him out of the club.

Not good enough for a club like Arsenal?
