Like that front 3 and back 4, can never get me head round a 3 man midfield but Larsson, Catts and whoever would do me. Be great to see some pacy attacking passing between the strikers, here's hoping eh?
Leon Best has confidence that he will get goals, yet we all know that he's ****e. Bendtnar is the white Leon Best. All talk, no action.
Right, please tell me what you have seen of Bendtnar that makes you think he is any better? He missed countless number of open goals and his goalscoring record in a fantastic Arsenal team is dire. He's a handful on the ball maybe, but we have too many of those you could have had one of ours
I would be interested to know his goalscoring record from starts as cf rather than on the wing. As far as missing chances, darren bent (for example) would miss a lot of "simple" chances but would still bag 20 goals a season. I'm not saying bendtner is a 20 goal a season man (although I hope he turns out to be!) but still think it's ridiculous for you to compare best or any of your centreforwards to him! Just my opinion
I have heard a quote from an international manager and the press saying he was awesome for his country I can't recall anyone praising best for his performances AT ANYTIME. I can also see bendtner getting more goals than Best this season
Messi said Gutierrez was a cracking player. Maradonna said Gutierrez was one of the first names in the starting 11...see where I am going with this? Best has two goals so far. If Bendtnar was that good, he wouldn't have joined Sunderland in the final hour of transfer deadline day on a season long loan, despite saying all summer that he was leaving and it was 'sorted'. Never rated Bendtnar, always saw him as a white Ameobi till Best came along. Had we signed him, it wouldn't have improved us, it would have just added another player who's game play is exactly the same to all of our strikers. But my point was at the start, Bendtnar could say he's full of confidence, all I am saying is wait until he is playing and scoring before assuming he is going to be a real hit. To go with my point, Best always says he is full of confidence, as does every player, but not many actually step up to the plate.
Mate, I see where you are going with player/managercomments etc, but to compare Bendtner to Best, Ameobi or Ba is ludicrous IMO.

its pretty clear you two have missed the point. My point is that any player can come out and say they have confidence to score goals, they have to prove it. I am actually belittling Leon Best, saying that even HE comes out and says it. Best scores goals in a pretty poor NUFC team and is continuing to prove that to be fair to him(still think he's ****e though). Bendtnar's goals to game ratio is terrible for a player who played in great Arsenal teams. Each to their own I guess.
Badger, I know you know enough about football to know that Bendtner is streets ahead of Best in every department. I also know that you watch enough football to know that a tiny % of Bendtners games were starts, up front. Nobody willknow for sure how good a striker Bendtner is till he gets a run of starts up front, in a team that suits his style of play. He's gonna get that from Saturday, why not pick this up in 6 weeks, if your right, i'll hoy £50 in the pot for beers for you when i'm home over Christmas.
I'm holding you to that. I have watched enough football to know that when Bendtnar has started, he's been garbage. He's lazy and misses far too many chances. I remember one year when Adebayor had a right go at him on the pitch. Best has scored more than your team so I wouldn't start slating him just yet
Aye, but this early in the season? Best isn't a bad finisher in fairness, but he's a ****ing woeful footballer. You can hold me to what i said, it's not even a bet, nowt in it for me, but if he's garbage, i'll be true to my word! I can definitely go with that team! Larsson----Gardner-------Vaughan -------------Sessegnon------------- ------Bendtner----Gyan----------- I'd probably play Garnder instead of Cattermole because this team should be able to play some really nice possession football thereby allowing Gardner to get forward and into those areas where he can get off some shots.
Really looking forward to seeing how well Bendtner does for you lot, I said that I think he will score 15 goals for you this season and I stick by that. On another note please don't tell me that someone compared Leon ****ing Best to Bendtner?
