http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...w-Hatem-Ben-Arfa-worth-hassle-Newcastle.html? i hate it when papers describe ben arfa as a crock. he's had two injuries caused by bad tackles not because he is injury prone if they actually did what they got paid to do and actually looked into then it would be alright but they don't.
How many Ben Arfa threads do we need? Someone should have made a generic Ben Arfa news thread by now.
its not so much about ben arfa more the **** journalism last monday the evening standard made out like cabaye and bartn had fallen out when cabaye himself said barton helped him settle in the team.
That sounds worrying. He always seemed like a nice quiet fella, and whilst he has had his behavioural problems in the past, I was hoping he would have left them behind by moving here.
I dont think Pardew knows him that well to be honest, and is assuming he has that Ronaldo style arrogance (to a lesser degree) and attitude that star players often have.
I was also quite worried about this when I read it, seems like hes giving us a taste of what he expects to happen. I hope not.
I doubt Ben Arfa is a character, the only reason he acted up to come here is because one minute he was told he could then the next it was off. I don't think Pards has got to know him yet at all.
I do not think Ben Arfa is a character in a dickish way but I think he is meant to be quite demanding, but I do not see that being a problem because he is our best player (potentially) and the team is being built around him.
found this on nufc.com Alan Pardew has confirmed that he intends to give Hatem Ben Arfa some pitch time after recovering from a knee injury sustained against Kansas City in pre-season. It'll be the first competitive game that the French international has played in our colours since United converted his loan deal from Marseille into a permanent transfer back in January 2011. Here's a recap of Hatem's Magpies career to date: Sep 2010 Blackpool (h) appeared as 73rd minute sub. Sep 2010 Everton (a) played 84 minutes, scored, subbed. Sep 2010 Stoke (h) played 62 minutes, subbed. Oct 2010 Man City (a) played 8 minutes, stretchered off. that's 171mins equating to not quite 2 full matches (1.9) our injury list is creeping up as well Davide Santon (knee), Mehdi Abeid (knee), Alan Smith (hamstring), Mike Williamson (ankle) and Haris Vuckic (hand) are all unavailable through injury, Dan Gosling is doubtful with a groin strain
Marveaux yet to strut his stuff too, he seems more reserved on the ball than I first expected. Not a bad thing like.
correct sir they actually say he's unfit in the florist report but then he's fit in the players section ffs been saying it for a while now that site is going downhill
