Just read this on another site:

"He gets on everyone’s nerves on the pitch, including referees. He isn’t afraid to have a pop at his own team-mates and I like that. It shows he cares," added John Aldridge.

"Point the finger at someone and then have a laugh about it afterwards – that’s the way it should be. Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard do it but no-one else apart from Bellamy seems to.

"It shows his passion for the game" .
    ..............................................................................

Sorry, but it just shows he's a stroppy little whinger . Probably got Sir Bobby sacked ( along with Dire.....sorry I mean Dyer).

However, would you tolerate that if he was still at Newcastle?

    Personally. No.

Absolute twat who behaved like a tool in his time here. Disrespectful towards the fans after he left and its why I would never want the little twat back.

Good player though. I suppose if he'd never left he would never have been so disrespectful to the fans so it is a different question.

So what exactly would you do about it?

Yeah he's a prize prick- but he's one hell of a sub to bring on when oppositions legs are tired. One thing about Bellamy is he always gives 100% - so for me that comes first and foremost besides his bad attitude.

Plus - Marmite man?? I neither love him or hate him, he's purely a freebie we got in to do a job for a couple of years - no more, no less <ok>

I asked them all if they wanted a game on the ps2 and bellamy was the only one that said yes, had a good chat, was only 7 mind but i liked him however when he's had a drink he seems to go off it

Was it Carver or Speed who took particular exception to him on a golf course once?

Not hard I suppose considering the amount of incidents he's been involved in!

Meh, I like him. Top player, and even though his daft indescretions seemed stupid at the time (throwing a chair, aargh!) they pale in comparison to the criminal acts we've put up with since from Barton, Ranger and Carroll. Fantastic panto villain when he plays against us, but always comes across of very intelligent in interviews and his charity work is top notch. I'd have him back short term ignoring all the financial bits...

He is a top player but I simply cannot get past him being a complete twat. No matter if it gets results. I agree with the charity work comment.

I like Marmite and I like Bellamy. On the field he always gives 100% and seems to do a lot for charity of it.

Still love him for Feyenoord away but actually hate him at the same time for the Shearer fight and basically thinking he was bigger than the club.

Shocked by how forgiving people can be with an arsehole like Bellamy who takes the piss out of them and the club, yet can be so down on the likes of Barton, Carroll etc? Just bizarre. He got involved in as many incidents as they ever did, and had a massive coke problem while here. Now the latter bit of that is me taking the word of a good friend who saw him, Dyer and Cort at it in Malmaison. I have no reason to not believe him and I can well believe they were all at it.

Sorry but the ****er had no respect for the club and is the lowest of the low. After he left he blamed the fans for Robsons sacking ignoring his own part in his downfall. He claimed we were stupid because we thought we could win the league under Robson saying something along the lines of "the Newcastles of this world have no right to think they can challenge for league titles". Well we ****ing can when we're paying little twats like you league winner wages! Also commented he would never want to come back here.

Absolute ****e bag and I'm not fooled by the cretins charity work. Barton does loads of that too. As does Balotelli. They're still twats.

I always thought he'd be a player other fans would hate but own fans would love. No getting away from his ability or passion and sometimes a chippy little bastard on the pitch can rattle the opposition. I watch a fair amount of (ice)hockey and some folks make a living out of winding the opposition up so they go off their game.

That said, do you think he damaged the dressing room (and I don't mean by throwing furniture about!) when he was at Newcastle?

Despite what happened with us, there's something about him that I just can't dislike. I find him hilarious.
