You are smug over the fact your football club has increased its chances of spiraling out of this league? I am positive you are one of us mags!

Nowt to be proud of, plus, at the time, I was pleased enough at the signing - as were many others.

The start of the end for O'Neill was the horrible run we went on at the end of the season. We never quite recovered and have been limping ever since.

Don't feel smug. You were wrong.

I don't blame Johnson, every time he gets the ball the opposition have doubled up on him, even a 10 man Norwich, we should have capitalised on this much earlier with other midfielders or fullbacks

Our manager has been sacked. Relax with the Johnson bashing for once. Please.

If you're really a Sunderland fan (up for debate) why don't you join in the other discussions about the next manager

To be fair - at premiership level, if a team has only one outlet - a single flair player then the opposition can easily commit resources to nullifying it.

If a team has 2 or 3 dangerous players in their forward line then they cannot "double up" as they will then be leaving someone else free.

Sunderland's problem is not the managers (Bruce or O'neil) it is a one-dimensional squad with limited quality - that is down to investment and recruitment.
