Not sure if this has been posted before, so here goes: 1) Beckham is keeping future plans quiet, do you think we have a realistic chance of signing him? I think so, based on the fact that he isn't good enough for Spurs, Chelsea or Arsenal and doubt Fulham could afford his wages. 2) if we could have him, would you want him? I would say yes again. We miss a dead-ball specialist and he is gold dust with regards to putting a team on the map. The media frenzy worldwide would be indredible even if he was a bit part player. He may well go for it if the money is right, even if only to give his Team GB hopes a chance which I'm sure would be a big priority for him.
Neil was on SSN earlier (about 17:35) and said anything could happen re transfers but said he wasn't sure Becks would get in our team. BTW Adel returned to training today and trained the hardest NW has ever seen him train, but doesn't want to change a winning team.
Warnock not ruling out Becks QPR manager doubts midfielder would get in team Last Updated: November 21, 2011 7:01pm David Beckham: Neil Warnock doubts midfielder will join QPR but says anything is possible Neil Warnock has admitted it is 'conceivable' that David Beckham will come to Queens Park Rangers, although he doubts whether the midfielder would get in his side. SKY BET ODDS David Beckham 3/1 to sign for QPR! Bet now. Beckham savoured success on Sunday night as Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston Dynamo to claim the MLS title, but his contract with the American club is now set to expire. The former England captain's future has become the subject of intense speculation, with Paris St Germain interested in taking him to the French capital if he decides not to stay with the Galaxy. Beckham has also been linked with a return to the Premier League and ambitious QPR owner Tony Fernandes has made no secret of his admiration for the 36-year-old. Warnock stated last week that he was not considering Beckham as an option, and he remains sceptical about whether a move will materialise. Squad player However, the QPR boss recognises that it would be wrong to rule out anything with Fernandes at the helm. "I personally can't see where he is going to get in the team at the moment, and I can't see him wanting to come as a squad player," Warnock told Sky Sports News. Asked if it was conceivable that Beckham would end up at Loftus Road, Warnock added: "Anything is conceivable, with the guys in charge. "We weren't far away from Scott Parker on deadline day and we took the six or seven players that we did."
Is anyone really going to say that they don't want David Beckham? Quire extraordinary really. If Puncheon can get in our squad....I think we can squeeze Beckham in!!
It becomes a circus Col, and Beckham won't have the legs for the Prem, and there'd be pressure to play him.
Puncheon was a last minute thing just incase SWP didn't sign in time. With months to think about who he wants to bring in i would be amazed if Warnock even wants Becks,it sounds more like it's Tony who is interested in him coming to us.I expect to see 4 new players coming in,but i also expect them to be signed from other top teams, not American or SPL leagues where the standard is deplorable!
maybye we might be able to sign him because we are now at number 9 in the table we used tyo be 11 i think it might be are chance to get better the more money we get the more player we sign then we get all the good ones then we could n get to number 1 in the table think positive .
Beckham is running out of viable options, Spurs as well as us couldn't guarantee him a starting place and PSG are a volatile mix at present according to reports. My guess is he'll do another year in LA and may do a short-term loan to assist his olympic hopes...
I know Beckham has always divided opinion, even when he was one of the best players in the country, but I can't believe we think we've come so far already that we would turn our noses up at signing him for a few months!
If Becks join i'm 100% sure he'll perform. He know his own limitations and will never sign if he can't cut it. Would be a fantastic move both comercially and performance wise. Just think what he will add to the training field, motivation and quality. And to say that we can't sign players from poor leagues is complete bull****! This is proved wrong plenty of times. Clint Dempsey just springs to mind from MLS, and the list goes on.
