    <laugh>.

Good point, but isn't "bear" a descriptive term in the gay world?

Where's Sam...we need some clarification on this...

I think Bob Mortimer's spoof of Ray Mears accurately captures the homoerotic element of the show. I also subliminally planted '****' and 'Ray Mears' together in your heads.

I was thinking the same actually. Does seem to be a bit of a theme going on.

I can just see Jip tied to a table and SW6 forcing a 10" black dildo up his arse.

The show is a complete fiction, talking to camera saying "wow isn't it great being alone in the wilderness" with the camerman, sound engineer, producer, guide, catering van etc just out of shot is taking the piss.

At least Mears' show has a point, showing how people have coped in extreme conditions and demonstrating how they might have survived.

its good TV, like a showbiz version of ray mears. the thing that annoys me about BG is stuff like:

'i didnt catch any fish, but heres one from earlier'

'i wont be sleeping in this shelter but heres how to make one anyway'

    -the fake endings
-how things are strategically placed for him to randomly come across, e.g. dead raindeer, seal etc.
-once he was chucking stones at this fruit at the top of the tree, he hit it, the fruit didnt fall off but it showed a picture of a fruit falling to the ground and prentended he did it lol.

its a good show, but his bushcraft skills are not in the league of the legend that is mears <ok>

Ray mears trained the SAS on survival skills and bear grills (sp) was in the reserve SAS so the chances are he taught him too.
