Not toon related but thought was worth posting as is an excellent read detailing how a club should be forward planning for success. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37954971 I think we can all say that until recently winging it would be even be going to far to describe the level of planning and professionalism at NUFC. Of course with Rafa we have seen an about turn so lets hope we can keep it up.
It's very frustrating to see popular players and managers leave, but we have learned to relax in the knowledge that the club is in excellent hands. Good luck for promotion, a club of your stature belongs in the top league and in Rafa you have a top manager.
Interesting the forward planning involved in player selection and the database compilation involved to track both existing and potential transfer targets. Such a pity we don't do this as it also helps to develop local talent. If we did it we would probably have Nev doing the database and would be chasing some 40-year old has-been because he hadnt updated it for years.
Keep saying this model needs looked at and replicated. If we do that and limit the foreign players we can turn around the national team. It would be painful, our league would suffer short term, but eventually we would get there and we would all feel far more connected to the top division in this country.
