Looks like Frog thinks along the same lines as Basil_Brushzenberger: "You get the impression he just opens his mouth and lets whatever hive mind that controls both his and Nicole Sherzinger’s speech decide upon a random utterance for him."

I think he might be from sesame street or something.

Have you ever remembered something you used to read/watch as a child and realised that is was actually either terrifying or really racist? Like in Pinocchio where they capture loads of children and take them to a place called Pleasure Island (what!)<yikes> and then they turn into donkeys! Also in Noddy they had the scary black man who lived in the forest. <yikes>

If Martin Brundle mentions Sesame Street in anyway in Valencia then we know he reads here.

Is that a deal Martin? go on! you know you want to!

I agree mifune, they are some scary things. Cartoons for kids are so PC now. Maybe thats why we have Family guy and southpark and find them funny

Well Lewis has always wanted to be Senna and now he gets his wish: dirty, dangerous, impetuous, mad, going to kill someone etc... I can't help wondering if the recent release of 'Senna' the movie has anything to do with this.

Either way, it gives the hacks plenty to write about, it's great publicity for F1 in general and will surely get more people watching on the BBC and around the World to see what his next crazy, dirty and dangerous move will be... Or am I being cynical?

It's sensationalistic journalism. Brundle covered it and there are upteen articles covering the aftermath.

Mr Hughes had the opportunity to focus on something a touch more positive, something perhaps more informative for the masses. There was opportunity to discuss Schumacher's performance, or Kobayashi's, the fact that HRT seem to be improving, Massa's pace and fantastic attitude, christ the list goes on...

Sadly no, he chose the easy option

No I don't think so. It could work to Hamilton's advantage, too, if people tune in to see him self-destruct and he actually puts in a stellar performance.

I don't understand why he says McLaren have the fastest car in race pace but yet says in the next paragraph "it's far off from the Red Bulls" and that McLaren have failed to deliver a great car since 2008. How is being faster over qualifying but slower on race pace make it better? Last time I checked the race was longer than Q3.

Didn't he just. But then Mr. Hughes works for the BBC whose ratings stand to improve if people who don't regularly watch tune in to see Lewis and his 'mad', 'dangerous' antics. The 'Senna' movie was acclaimed for appealing outside the usual F1 fanbase, I can't help thinking that the BBC are hoping for a similar effect.

On the other hand, this time last year the media and again Lauda were lambasting Alonso. He knows how to grab attention does Niki :)
