I think we can now be comfortable that Bates has relinquished all control at ER. There can be no doubt that had Bates and Harvey had any control, White would have been sold on for even £500,000, simply to assist the financial requirements of the empire building. Bates will go down as the most hated chairman ever at Leeds United and the biggest con artist that ever worked in football, a disgrace of a human being and a complete liar. I personally hope he rots in hell and I have nothing but contempt for those in his family and business friends that supported him, you will face your maker sometime and they will make you suffer for what you have done.

I know one person who tried to buy Leeds in 2003 for more than bates paid but it was blocked by the administrators (who where later appointed on the board) full of crooks

To be fair, I don't think he said that.

I believe he said that he does not draw a salary.

My best guess is he got many benefits and possibly a consulting agreement pursuant to which he received fees but maybe not.

Undoubtedly Bates has been the cause of most if not all the problems we have seen at Leeds United over the last year's.

But if it transpires that we could have been sold over the years a few times but the potential owners were just chancers who would have taken us down the Portsmouth route and he held out and eventually sells us to some serious businessmen which gives us the opportunity to achieve our goals, how will history regard Ken Bates?
