The really daft thing about the whole Afghan situation is that they haven't cottoned on to the simplest way of getting rid of foreign troops; or more likely they have but it doesn't suit their ideology; sit back, stop fighting, behave yourself for a year or so and give the western powers the perfect excuse to pull their troops out - job done. Once they're all gone you can then go back to turning the country into a backward s*****e stuck in the middle ages !

So i cant comment about why we didnt help them, or get involved, or why the media didnt report it (they might these days though)
I do think they should give back the West Bank & Ghazza Strip to the Palestinians & tensions would therefore be eased. BUT, the Israeli's don't take any ****. They meet force with much stronger force & are literally surrounded by states that hate them so must always be on guard. The Jews as a race will never forget the genocide of WW2 & nee ****er will ever take Israel away from them. They are a totally different people now to what they were then. They will fight to the death to protect it regardless of how the rest of the world takes it. I for one admire them for that.

No, it sounds a bit paranoid to be honest. Less than 3% of the UK population is Muslim, going to take a hell of a lot of breeding as you put it before they take over. I have a good number of friends who are Muslims and It's quite offensive of you to call them a virus. Don't get me wrong, I think the guys disrupting the dead soldiers repatriation and the ones calling for Sharia law in this country are total ****s who I would quite happily kick **** out of but to tar an entire community of people as a virus and claim they have a master plan for taking over the country is quite frankly ridiculous, its like the more extreme muslims claiming the world is run by a Zionist conspiracy. Anyway I am sick of these kind of threads on a footy forum as they always end in one way.

Just a guess here but could it have been the Vietnam war. The Americans pulled out of that in 1973 and limped home, badly wounded, 2 years later Pol Pot starts up. A: they were skint after the Vietnam war B: They just didnt want to get involved incase they got spanked again C: It was a long way to travel, especially for 1,000`s of troups, so a strategical nightmare. D: They didnt now what was going on until it was too late, Vietnam Invaded in 78, Pol Pol buggered off to a border and set up the government again, which the United Nations said was fine, surely if they knew of all the deaths, they would have said, no ****ing way. E: It just sounds like a bloody volatile and mixed up time in that era. 1: North Vietnam Vs South Vietnam,Cambodia etc 2:South Vietnam vs Cambodia So the Americans probably thought, **** this, let them get on with it.
Just giving my opinion, if I read something I don't agree with and feel stongly about it I feel the need to post, that does not mean I especially enjoy it, I would rather not mix my politics with my sport.
