    He hasn't and to be honest I'm worried. He was set to sign a new deal , then that long haired gypsy signed for Liverpool and we haven't heard anything about Barton's contract since. Worrying me thinks.

    Damn the silence had me worried too, i figured it had just dropped off the radar after the carroll saga. Really hope we hear some news soon!

    It would make sense, see if any of the £35m is reinvested. No worries there then huh!

    I don't see why the Carroll sale should affect anything. He said he wanted to play for Newcastle United. Not play for Andy Carroll and his merry men.

    If he questions the clubs ambition then all Pardew has to say is we have 35million to improve the squad all over. We need a strong team all around. Not just one gangly bean post who seemed to be getting injured a fair bit recently.

    You really think Pardew the gimp will be given 35 mill to spend more like 3.5 million, and more to the point who is going to join a championship club in the summer who is worth improving our squad.
    I will not set foot in sjp till the fat controller goes.
    Barton,Jose will be next.
    Liverpool will win trophies I think not
