Joey barton moaning again, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back with us... Note the author is called 'Oddballs'. DT in Corsica?... http://metro.co.uk/2012/12/13/joey-...s-field-and-enduring-freezing-shower-3315129/
Bastia in the north would have done that anyway they wanted a break from France for hundreds of years. I hope he hated it ... It would have been meant and the fans will always boycott Marseille The island is with doubt the finest place I have been to ... Long may it remain a secret as I escape there at least once a year
Corsica's beautiful but not exactly the friendliest of places. Too much petty nationalism, crime, heavy policing, pieds noirs and their descendents (Porto Vecchio area), and lastly the scary shaven headed Foreign Legionaires around Calvi.
Somebody once pointed out to me that if you walk into a room and think everybody in there is a dick, then the fact is that there's only one dick... you! This was me all over and I constantly fight to change my cynical, jaundiced attitude. I think Barton needs to consider this point too.
Oddball missed out on a media job with QPR when he logged on here first. I suppose you've got to take what you can get during a recession!
Agreed I cannot express how wonderful this place is all seasons and I have never had any trouble there at all. If anyone on here is looking for a 2013 holiday, if we haven't all gone by then ... check it out! ... Fly into Ajaccio grab a motor and a iPad to book up a different hotel each night travel clockwise around the amazing coastline and then do the interior. Food, People and Scenery has to be up there as the very best IMO
Plus its also the birth place of the Corsican Tyrant or the Great Liberator depending on your historical point of view.
