If the MK match is drawn the replay will count towards the three meaning he'll be available for the Wigan match, that would effectively be a one match PL ban...
QPR247 I refer you to my apology above for my reasons to posting and my acceptance of defeat. I think we all agree that the ref/linesman made a cock-up of this. It appears the fourth official made the decision. Lambert will go before long it's true... But I had to ask my friend the laughing policeman what he thinks about whether QPR are a bigger club than Norwich. His response: "MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAARRRRRGH!'!!!!!!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHH!!!!!!!!" So i think that satisfactorily solves that one then.
Is this the same FA that appealed against Rooney's 3 match ban for actually booting an opponent in the Euro qualifiers. An appeal that was successful.
We knew the risks that NW was taking by bringing Barton in and this was always going to happen at some stage. The hope was that his performances would outweigh these kind of problems but they have been mediocre to say the least (the well taken goal the other day aside) and there is some evidence to support the rumour that his captaincy is a destabalizing influence in the dressing room. The 3 match ban will give the club the opportunity to consider other options for this role which I personally hope we will take. Another debit in the Warnock ledger IMO.
It's funny how every single football pundit, ex ref or just anyone associated with football said it was in no way a red card. Yet some muppet from Norwich believes it was. Maybe rob should join the FA.
Whilst the ref got it wrong, I can't help thinking that Barton and Warnock, by making such a stink about the situation on Tweeter and the telly and so publicly suggesting that the officials weren't up to scratch have shot themselves in the foot. Had they kept quiet, there may have been a different outcome.
I agree with that. The FA have thin skins. Barton and Warnock jumped the gun. They blew it before the FA even heard the case. Mind you, anyone heard Wenger talking about their ref against Fulham?!
I think most people who've seen the footage were surprised with the red card; whether or not they will be surprised by the FA's decision on the appeal is another matter entirely.... It feels like rough justice right now, but may be a blessing in disguise in terms of potential team changes
Not really fearing 3 games without Barton - will be interesting to see the new team dynamics. Barton at least has extra time to spend with his wife and newborn.
