I've been one of Joey's fiercest critics here over the past year and after the Man City farce I genuinely did not want him anywhere near our Club ever again. Today, I have to U-turn and apologise. Barton was outstanding today. His work rate, commitment, positional sense, and temper were all impeccable. I don't know where he'll be in early September but on today's performance, I have to hold my hands up, admit I was wrong and say it was a pleasure to see him bossing the midfield and clearly being Man of the Match. Even when he got scythed down midway through the second half, he jumped up, brushed himself down and carried on. I got it wrong. It was a pleasure to see him in a QPR shirt again.
he will lose it sooner or later, but we have to give him full support while he is doing the business for the club
Yep, credit where it is due. Really impressed when he walked away form a dreadful challenge in second half.
I take it you'll stand by him if he doesn't get his move & has a melt down, slagging off our club and picking up red cards?
Thats the spirit. Now Joey is payin some of the vast sum of money back with his performances. I have always believin that he could do the job for us. By the way Barton IS BETTER than average player....!
What an obsequious and quite frankly, utterly awful OP. Do pull yourself together '68 for God's sake.
Certain similarity between Swords and Barton. When he is good he is very good, when he is bad he is very very bad. We like the good Barton.......welcome back Swords.
Can I just remind everyone that we are in the Championship not the a EPL so he should be able to put In a decent performance over 90mins against lower opposition, maybe his found his level !
