Just another article he can cut out and stick in his scrap book. Barton seems intent on creating his own cult of personality and if he can't find someone to write about him he tweets something mundane to his half a million (go figure) "followers" many of whom I suspect are lazy journalists ready to make a headline over something he has said.

I'm hoping that in his quest for inner peace and enlightenment he discovers Buddhism and learns that the universe doesn't revolve around him.

He speaks highly of me though.

Critizing him only 4 weeks ago was almost impossible here - now Barton has proven his reputation once more again.

That's how I felt when he signed.
I had him down as a future QPR demi-god.
The jurys now out on this one.

I've now decided that every professional footballer, shall be looked upon as a *unt,
    Until they prove me otherwise!

In fact, I shall make this my new signature.

I would have thought with some of the different thoughts going around in his head someone might well put him in a box.

Good to see he is turning away from the purely materialistic life of an overpaid footballer.

NOW, LESS TALK AND START DOING THE BUSINESS ON THE PITCH FOR QPR.

Maybe this is totally niave - but the world has changed since we were last in the PL, and it's being such a long time that we have had a player that garners such media interest. Maybe its us feeling uncomfortable with such a spot light being on one of our players so much? Having said that i do wish he'd shut up and just let his football do the talking, and every time i see his name i'm thinking 'what's he gone and said now!'

    I particularly liked this bit:

''People are struggling to put food on the table and there I am with flash watches and cars. I told my PA to get rid of them.''

I didn't want to cook myself dinner, so I got the Butler to do it.

Those people are still struggling; I however, have converted my valuables into hard currency, which will undoubtedly make them feel a lot better.

Footballers are always onto a loser when they start talking about the real world. In some ways I think fair play to him whilst at other points Im thinking "oh **** off will you!"

The only way footballers could really gain public approval on an "I'm not a twat" level is if they were to donate tons of their cash to charity. Then again even then we'd be giving them grief for trying to pull a publicity stunt. Of course there are exceptions, Clint Hill and Derry come to mind.

I see he started following the band "the civil wars" after they appeared on jools holland. have to say so did I and I even downloaded their album.
that's saying something considering my taste in music leans towards ska and heavy metal!

    How weird is that?
Not name-dropping or anything, but I sat at the table where they are playing FIFA...
with none other, than Don Goodman and Rob Hawthorne before our home match v Sheff Utd last season.
They were there to commentate on the match for Sky Sports.
