Realise there will always be "if onlys" but really feels that yesterdays debacle has deprived us of a real chance of having reached the last 8 of a weak quarter final group. Sure there is nothing to say that a team that was humiliated by a league 1 team wouldn't have come to grief against championship opposition but so feels like a gaping opportunity that has been missed here.

Yes could have got to the semi-final. Money obviously more important to some of our players than success.

Indeed. Very frustrating that Harry made so many changes.

Not sure why? Proper football, terraced streets, pie van, half finished stadium, friendly home fans, a decent pint

A wet Tuesday in February away to Barnsley. I love it

It would have been great to have had a cup run but the Premier is far more rewarding

Think I've been there three times. In the 80s the special got stoned, on another occasion the police wouldn't let me get to my car without a hike in the wrong direction and last time was promotion year (from L1) when local pubs would only allow locals.

There's more to life than a good pie - unless you support Wigan that is

I don't blame Harry at all for his team selection yesterday. I think his point was extremely well made. He had players believing they were Billy Big Bollocks knocking on his door demanding a place in the team. He gave them enough rope and they duly hanged themselves.

Not that it would have made too much difference to our cause, but we would have been at home against Barnsley.

Oldham continue with Merseyside opposition at home and will no doubt test the Toffees. Both Manc teams at home, not normally the case in league play.

Oh what might have been for us this year.

    Saturday 16th February 2013
    FA Cup Fifth Round

    Arsenal v Blackburn
    Huddersfield/Leicester v Wigan
    Luton v Millwall
    Man City v Leeds United
    Man Utd v Reading
    Middlesbrough v Brentford/Chelsea
    MK Dons v Barnsley
    Oldham v Everton

we may not of beat MK with our best 11 or picked up an injury, you never know
Harry selected 11 players who should of won the game, they let all of us down

I would sooner see us win the fa cup and be relegated than just stay up . My best (or is that only ) good memory of supporting Rangers is the cup run of 1982 . Finishing 17th couldn't really compare . Success in the cup usually transfers to the league anyway . We've missed a big opportunity in my opinion .

Agreed, but I feel we could have played 3 or 4 more regulars with a couple more on the bench. Hate the way the FA cup is written off.

I want to see us win something before I die (if I'm very lucky I may have 30 years to go, but the thought of advanced age is no fun at all), and in the near term the FA Cup is the only real chance (afraid the League Cup no longer counts for me). Agree with Col and others that its devaluation since the Prem/ Champions League started is tragic - remember when it was almost impossible to do the double such was the intensity of the competition? Now the mega clubs don't put out their strongest teams until the final.
