Have just watched the highlights from Tuesdays match against Barnet, I have to say how impressed I was with McLeod, pacey and a natural goal scorer, he would be great up front for us. we dont seem to have anyone inline for the front position at present, like most was hoping Cody would be back. Here,s hoping another 3 points against a sad Plymouth on Saturday, do feel sorry for Plymouth, the players still have not been paid, and still potential buyers cannot prove they have the cash to do so. McCleod was a pain all night at Barnet. Marshall was also a nuisance. If Gills could find somebody to replace the pace that Barcham provided - and if we could get a striker to play off Kedwell we would walk this league ( & probably L 1 .) I have been worried in the few games thus far, where we have been attacked with pace. I'm afraid to say that some of the times we were a little fortunate that the outcome was not different.
Sorry to ruin the plan but McCleod signed a new deal with Barnet in the summer. I might be wrong but I do remember thinking that McCleod would be a great signing and then reading he had signed a deal at Barnet.
