Just been on two of the other forums and I can't believe the differences between the two. One, (a bit green-tinted - but so what) and the other (a forum whose regular posters are probably adolescents who couldn't tell you who Tony Waiters was - whilst maintaing their right to talk 'democratic' about all things Argyle).

For God's sake we've just won AWAY from home 4-1! When was the last time that happened? (And I'm sure someone more 'anorakish' than me will soon let me know!)

It doesn't matter that Fletcher chose not to select young Lennox today, despite a very impressive performance on Tuesday night. It doesn't matter if we played 'hoofball' or turned it on like Barcelona on speed. It doesn't matter that it was 'only' Barnet' - it doesn't matter does it - we won 4-1 away from home, so for that we should all be thankful and enjoy a better Saturday night and have a contented Sunday. All this 'Fletcher Out' non-sense, irrespective of the days result, is doing my head in!

Barnet away is normally one of the fixtures I target to go to over the course of a season - when we have to play the 'dregs' of footballing society that is (no offence Barnet - but you'd need Neeskins, Overmaars and Cryuff to go with your Davids before people take you seriously), but unfortunately the old Spinal Arthritis kicked in this morning and so it wasn't possible. I promise to stay away from more 'away' games in the SE in future!!

As an infrequent poster on here, please excuse me, but after reading the drivel on PASOTI (mainly) and ATD (mostly) I'd be interested to read a match report from someone on here who was actually there.

Sorry but I wasn't there. You have to understand the pasoti/ATD thing though Gary. Pasoti is all singing all dancing everything Argyle is wonderful. Any dissent is stamped on and people have been banned for being negative. ATD hates all things Pasoti so feel they have to go the opposite way. Anything Pasoti says is disputed out of hand and only negative thoughts allowed. Anyone saying anything positive is jumped on by the naysayers and branded happy clappy and their new word "Aviva". Not everyone toes the line though and you don't get banned for positivity.

I thought it was a brilliant result by the way and I post on ATD although not as much as I did.

Thanks for your comments GARY987...I listened to the game which is a 7am kick off over here..so with en early goal by Argyle and my coffee i was wide awake for the rest of it..
Seems like that Fletcher made a change for the second half and it made a difference...
Winning away from home 4-1 always makes the trip home for the Thousand or so more enjoyable....
No matter who you play..

Went to the game today as Barnet is my local club and i go to a few of their home games. Have to say i was quite impressed with your team today. The players all worked their socks off and closed Barnet down when ever they lost the ball and are definitely a club that is on the up. Having said that Barnet were very poor today. A special mention for fantastic support by over 1,000 Plymouth fans at the match which would do the many clubs on their travels even in the Championship proud. Im sure if you keep the faith Plymouth will be back one day in Div1 or even the Championship.

Thanks shenley.<ok>

I'll be more pleased when it is back in the Championship but it might take a few years yet. We do keep the faith though. Our away support, although I'm not one of them, do us proud season on season. Some of these clubs must love it when we come to town with the numbers.

Great result, eases tentions a little....if we can get a result against Rochdale who are on form at the moment, maybe the tide will turn at last!....and thanks for the update Shenley, makes us feel that little bit more positive.

Thanks for that Sensible. Having now read back on numerous threads on both forums what you say is making sense now. You would think (especially in these dire times) that everyone would be pulling together wouldn't you. "There's nowt so queer as folk".....as they say oop North.

By the way, off topic I know, but whatever happened to that Devonsurfer character? I used to enjoy reading the reactions to some of his comments on the old 606 forum. Quite a wind-up merchant I thought.

Steady on GARY you'll tire yourself out with all this posting.

What sensible says about those other two websites is spot on.....as you can see sensible post only on ATD....and gets ridiculed for stating how he sees it......and he does get up their noses most of the time.

I post on all sites and use a different username on each one.....and have digs at there attitude to each other and their stances on various subjects. So only get slightly involved.

Sometimes when it gets quiet on those sights they actually talk about football......ATD posters seem to wear there badge of being thrown off Pasoti with pride,

Pasoti do seem to be control freaks and have got people in high places within the club......you should be able to suss out who they are.

Although 606 is small,we do have visitors most of them friendly and actually talk about most things football or otherwise.and get ignored by the powers that be....that suits me.

Well to be frank this is the realists time to shine， yes we are going to smack a few but we will still have a few bad ones too. Now I am sure a few of you have guessed by now but I am a fan, not convinced yet but will give the guy some time, of Fletcher. Now just for a change I will not jump on the result bandwagon but instead will say we spanked a poor side, srry Barnet hoping Edgar sorts u out. That said we did the job, Griff and PCH again, seriously doubters look at time on pitch vs goals and tell me they are bad signings for next to nothing. Our 2 kids held midfield together and they were not getting booed when they warmed up so a double suprise, performed and without the HP welcome. Shenly nice to have an outsiders view and although you may be damned in hell, at least on this site, for critising Sir Reid and praising Beezelbub Fletcher there are a few who would agree you hope guys do well this season as soon as you change your manager, dunno why but never liked that guy.
For me good result, still work to do, new players getting fit and see how it goes from here but I am sure this win was nothing to do with Fletcher and next loss will be all his fault.

Every dog has his day they say mexijan and one result isn't really it for Argyle. If, and it does seem a big ask, Fletcher were as positive in his actions at Home Park as he seems to have been at Barnet then the criticism wouldn't be so loud. The players don't get boo'd during warm up at home either. They got boo'd as a team when they played so badly at halftime and fulltime. Nobody I'm sure wants to think them that bad but they do have to show something on the field to stop it themselves. It is good to get an outside view rather than one from people who have preconceived ideas or opinions.

We have a rather stiff task over the next month opposition wise. The doomsday people are of course already writing Argyle off and will be surprised if we get more than 2 points out of the next 21. That's rubbish in my view even though I'm still jury out with Fletcher and just about hanging on to him being here. I hope we win the next match. That will be 3 points and instantly kill their argument with another 6 to go. It just might also kick start our season. We need back to back wins somehow and somewhere. The confidence that would generate would be priceless for both players and manager and of course "us the green army". I hope next Sunday I'm here typing a really positive report and not crying over my keyboard again.
