Did anyone hear Nick on Humberside? When asked about Simpson he said he cant get in as he is in direct competition with Robert Koren!! How is Simmo fighting for the same place as Koren. Seems like a nice deflection from Nick. Burnsy never queried it and moved on.

Simpson wants Koren's role, he hasn't a prayer of getting it, he's got both Koren and Brady ahead of him.

I just dont get that. Isnt Simmo a 6 yard goal poacher who plays off another striker?

Doesn't want to play wide, doesn't want to play lone striker, that just leaves the Koren role.

Appears Nick has set the 4-2-3-1 formation in stone then, until he brings Cullen on!!

Unfortunately Nick is getting a reputation now for not being straight when questioned. I think he only sees questions as things to be deflected.

If Simpson wants to play, he should take one of the wide berths, I think he'd do a better job than Mclean and half the time he'd effectively be playing in a three man attack anyway, I think he could be handy if he was up for it. Unfortunately, it seems he's not.

Look on the positive; we've got more strength-in-depth than we thought!

He did exactly that after the Leeds game, getting to sound like Nige. Even had a go at the fans.

If this is your reaction after City create alot of chances and are drawing games, then i'd hate to see what you're like when we start to ship goals, make no chances whatsoever and lose.

That could be NBs undoing, he did state that that he didn,t care what the fans thinks, which i think is a dangerous statement to make, he should know in football that if you alienate the fans, then ultimately its a dangerous spiral downwards, NB could nip this all in the bud by coming out and stating that he realises that we do need another forward to freshen things up and give us more options, but finding someone with quality that a club are willing to part with at this time is the season is proving to be the problem and then follow that up with, i don,t want to bring someone in just for the sake of bringing someone in, this would appease those saying he is ignorant to our needs as a team, but offering a plausible excuse for not being able to solve the problem..

    Can't believe what I'm reading.

He's our manager FFS and he is one of us. He's young, he's inexperienced and he's under immense pressure.

People should use their brains a bit more and put themselves in others' shoes and try to understand why things happen like they do.

    Shakes head in disbelief!

    Agreed well said.

I can't believe people are so fickle that they're suggesting not supporting him unless we win. That's not how football works.

Some people need to get a grip.

Anyone who boo's their team deserves to be had a go at.

Also Nick is not going to say yes i have got it wrong so far with every decision, and completely undermind himself.

Yes you'd think he'd be perfect in the wide right attacking position that Mclean or Brady usually take up. As you say he'd have a far better chance of getting in the team if he was looking to play there. He's not likely to get the Koren position even if he and Brady are out, i would have thought NB would probably play Evans or Cairney there ahead of Simpson.

we are all entitled to an opinion, wrong or right, and i doubt anyone really wants NB to fail, just so they can I told you so, but we would all be disappointed if we fail to take advantage of such a good opportunity to make the play offs, when city fan or not, anyone who has watched us lately can see, that we lack someone to put the ball in the net, its not a lack of effort, just luck at times,

i,d rather NB put himself on the bench as i,m sure he,d nick us a goal as he has that knack ofdoing so, just as in the cardiff game, we have wigley who covers his position on the sidelines and NB might just be the missing link up top that either scores or creates the goals for someone else.

What do people expect Nick Barmby to say?

Oh my players are not good enough! I don't have the money to bring in a new striker?

That would be a kick in the teeth for the players who we have and a daft thing to say after telling us he did not need anyone.

Fans who boo should **** off and get a life.

proper players will play any position if asked by their manager.. McLean may not have Simpson's supposed ability but I couldn't imagine him quibbling..
